I wish I could get Stik to do like a 8x10 or 11x14 doodle for me. But I fear that would cost a hefty stack of bills and I doubt he would even consider it. Can't afford those ridiculously awesome canvases. Maybe one day he will come back to the east coast (USA) and ill be able to make it to a show!

Commissioned this piece a while back. Stik got a bit creative with the size of the canvas we discussed and it wouldn't fit on any of the walls in my tiny flat at the time!
Sold it to a forum member and have moved twice since into bigger properties crying out for a nice big stik. Big regrets!

Maybe it's me and I'm missing something, I would love someone to enlighten me. For me, it's the simplicity of the image that can actually convey quite complex themes and emotions. Look at the image above, just changing the eyes slightly can say an awful lot. I find his work both charming and moving. Combine that with the artist's motivation to use street art as a force for good, something that often seems to be dwindling in the 'street art scene' today. |
