Firstly I will declare I have one but I would take a Hand Sprayed RC over that Precision Bombing canvas all day long. At Β£32.5k I think the RC was on the money in todays market and I am pretty sure there are a few galleries currently asking for more for this work.Β I think Β£40k for the PrecisionΒ Bombing again given the imageΒ is about what I expected and alsoΒ the condition doesΒ look a little ropey.Β
Normally would agree, but remember this is the one on the back that had the HW and Kids with Guns test sprays (According to the earlier posts in this thread). If I had bought this (I didnt), I would actually frame it with that side showing as actually think that is pretty cool/unique.

Surprised Festival sold for 1k more than this as I thought Sale Ends was more popular. Also, adding 25% premium + 20% VAT (if my math is right) one could have bought the festival from Andy (Castle) cheaper...

Estimate on the Baker always struck me as quite artificially low -- way under the list prices for canvasses at his last show (though the works at that show were mostly larger sized than this one at auction). 55K out the door for an older Baker canvas seems shockingly affordable (dare I say) in an overall auction that seemed overheated.
Many of the Banksy went for some nutty money. And the Harrington really seems to have gone at an exaggerated level. But I suppose this was all part of the Laz master plan.

All are framed except for Forgive Us, which I may end up selling eventually.
I haven't really put much effort into obtaining any other of the posters, but I've been buying the self-published books when they pop up (I have 3 copies of Banging Your Head, 2 copies of Existencilism, and 1 copy of Cut It Out). My goal would be to have 3 complete sets of the first 3 volumes.

Folks... If an artist attracts AR (Artist's Resale) then, at Bonhams, add 34% to hammer for final cost. So 30k hammer becomes Β£40,200 final buyer cost.

are there parties that bid to push the prices up and if the hammer happens to fall on them, nothing done, the piece goes quiet for a few months and then pops up 2 or 3 auctions down the road, or its given to a gallery buddy to "sell for a great deal, a fair bit below the last auction price" ?
