honestly no idea.. no clue what they're worth. Didn't think anything was worth too much (besides maybe the Wrong War), but then I saw that Petrol Bomb sell for over $1K at auction a couple of weeks ago, now this

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Someones Brain on Jan 28, 2015 19:45:13 GMT 1, Can't something be untouched by money? I fukking hate that "street art" and a symbol like Banksy is auctioned at Bonhams. Buy it but you can't be it, fuukkers. I wish I could say something to make you happy again, @nordicstar. So I'm wearing a new hat, just for you.

I know mate..... all about the promotion i guess. At least some people have some great new art on their walls after tonight and i reckon most of the prints were stashed in a folio in steves house.

This is the sweetest thing anyone done for me in long time. Thank you. The true friendship potential is strong here. Lean back, take a deep breath, drink a cup of tea and try to feel a little bit like this little animal below. Looking at this small print always helps me when I feel a bit grumpy. I hope it works via the internet too.

The main posters you mention...maybe couple hundred give or take? Cans 100 ish
Wrong war a few hundred possibly
Genuine tenner. ..couple hundred
Time Out nyc and London under hundred. ..Sydney a bit more
Stickers not sure. .10-30 each?
We love you vinyl 100-150 Cut commander 50
Not sure on rest

Plus, i saw a We Love You... go for $500 at auction. I sold another Cut Commander for $500, some stickers sell on eBay for $100+, genuine tenners go for up to $500 in the right setting etc.. so prices are really all over the place
sorry don't mean to hog the thread... will start my own at some point

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Oski on Jan 28, 2015 20:21:30 GMT 1, Color Trolleys fetches more than the signed BW ??... LOL... They have the same overall release of 750 (B&W 100 LA, 150 POW signed, 500 POW u/s)...never mind the fact that the 400 missing LA prints may be discovered and flood the market. While there is much less signed B&W vs. color, I think the color just looks better IMHO and is one of my favorite Banksy prints.

The signed POW B&W are only an edition of 150 so they are 5X rarer than the color. It was a bit off at the auction but as we see auctions can be emotional and many could have based their color bidding on the B&W results that proceeded it with both being signed.

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Deleted on Jan 28, 2015 20:43:56 GMT 1, I hate people!!!!! You hear me, I HAAAAAAATE PEOPLE. Fukk you fukk you and fukk you. Take your prints and fukk them i Fukkers. Pjew. Aah. Feels a bit better. No it doesn't. Fukk you. Buying prints while people starve? Fukk you! It's only art.
The prices reflect in some ways that the artworld revolves around money.
It also reflects today that for people with money, they can now show their friends and the world that they have arrived, because they own a Banksy print.
When medallion man makes a return these people will swager down the road open shirted, witha chunky medallion hanging from their neck with a miniature Banksy image on the medallion.
It's only art and the auction houses serve a purpose for people with money.

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by Winter on Jan 28, 2015 20:48:36 GMT 1, Wow.... CHARMING BAKER goes for double the high estimate.... Estimate on the Baker always struck me as quite artificially low -- way under the list prices for canvasses at his last show (though the works at that show were mostly larger sized than this one at auction). 55K out the door for an older Baker canvas seems shockingly affordable (dare I say) in an overall auction that seemed overheated.
Many of the Banksy went for some nutty money. And the Harrington really seems to have gone at an exaggerated level. But I suppose this was all part of the Laz master plan.
The Charming Baker wasn't a canvas, it was on board and was possibly just a study. One of the biggest results in today's auction.

Quite a lot of expensively bought paintings have enede up being sold at auctions for a fraction of gallery retail prices.
Who knows if all these artists auction prices and gallery prices will keep on rising?
