You have got it all wrong Manty. Its the prefect combination.
After you've bought the Neate you buy Lot 53 to recline on and admire Adam's handy work whilst sitting on a design classic. If you have bought "Laugh Now" its there to break your fall when you remember what you spent on it.

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by pezlow on Mar 28, 2008 10:02:56 GMT 1, It's all very strange. Bonhams let it be known they were not accepting Faile prints for this sale and yet they have two faile prints in the sale - a poison boy II and a Torment in Orange. Not exactly the most desirable faile prints either.

Maybe becuase they don't care if they are still available, its all money for the auction house at the end of the day, plus Mr M is going to be very high profile at the end of the year .

More likely someone had a piece Bonhams wanted for a sale and they agreed to auction the Faile pieces as part of the deal. They'll take things they normally wouldn't if you have something they really want. It's more about haggling than who you know (although that helps).

He will, IMO he needs to go back to his dark figures and leave the guns to others.

Bonhams β’ Art Auctions β’ London π¬π§, by 1800garrett on Dec 21, 2007 8:56:04 GMT 1, Looks like Bonhams is quick on the up take. This page below looks like a replica of the Banksy forum.

Bonhams Urban Art "Bonhams are delighted to announce their forthcoming sale of Urban Art. This innovative auction, the first of its kind ever held, will examine the way that this democratic and at times controversial art form has captured the zeitgeist. We aim to document the incredible phenomena of street art in its broadest sense by exploring its transition from underground subculture to mainstream art movement.
The sale will feature a select number of works by the premiere international names associated with the genre, as well a series of artists whose works have not yet appeared at auction. We are inviting entries by, amongst others; Banksy, Keith Haring, Antony Micallef, Adam Neate, Faile, Paul Insect, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Space Invader, Swoon, D*Face and Jamie Hewlett.
The auction will be held in our flagship New Bond Street branch in the first week of February and is timed to coincide with the contemporary art week in London. Spaces in this popular sale will be limited and consequently we anticipate that it will be oversubscribed, so we would encourage potential consignors to contact us as early as possible to ensure items can be included."
