Not an artist that will be remembered in the history books for sure. MBW does not care about history books. He only cares about money/status. Enjoying his life while he is here. The way he entered the art game was absolutely rediculous and we(art buyers) thought/still think he conned so many people but with that said, he is still selling out with his sales and prices are going up to this day. I do not see him going anywhere soon. He will be remembered 100%. Maybe not positively to certain art buyers BUT these art buyers opinions wont matter when the dust clears unfortunately.
On a side note: I would never buy this guys shirts, shoes, watches or anything that is not prints. Waste of money

But on the plus side battery life is infinite and it does not need servicing so I think you got a good product there ! Would take your hand painted watch over MBW anything everyday (except maybe the above pictured toilet seat)

Hublot,s are some of the most beautiful watches ever made and it is quite sad really that any one would think adding MBW,s tac would be a plus. Its like buying a Aston Martin DB9s and then giving it to that MTV show "Pimp my Ride" If i had a spare $200K or sold my B collection I would get one of these..

Sorry let me rephrase that, you can get a new steel model with a carbon face for like $8-9k, a used steel for about 5k (at least here in the states and with a proper dealer...meaning not paying retail ever )

MBW Watch, by Winter on Jan 9, 2015 9:31:33 GMT 1, I think the fact Hublot did a Manchester United watch says a lot about their choice in collaborations. I don't mean any disrespect to Man U fans, it's just that football doesn't really mix with luxury brands. A 'footballer's' watch isn't usually a positive comment.

This fourm has changed over the past couple of years/ since the second Banky bubble - more and more chat about consumer goods/ fashion items / boastful pics of cribs / pleading repeat posts for 2 particular Banksys ( the ones that have been certifified as "iconic" by shitty hipster tracts).
Once upon a time, you could come to to fap away to affordable art and sort out swaps and meet ups. ffs , there isnt even the annual art awards evening / piss up any more

MBW Watch, by Deleted on Jan 9, 2015 13:06:26 GMT 1, watches are an interesting evolution these days though- pretty much no one needs a slab of timepiece( maybe deep sea divers and round the world yahtsmen mebbes) - but as a display of wealth ( or so be correct, apparent wealth & "success"), they are up there with the LV bag- ostentatious and recogniseable. Collectors are another niche of course- like art. MBW blates got that for for free, so cant blame him for wearing it
Its sorta strainge, as the toffs and long term family monied people I know/ have met usually wear basic watches and drive shitty volvos- and they are the ones who could spend any amount of ยฃยฃ on stuff like this without thinking twice.
Theres an MBA thesis in there somewhere for someone

MBW Watch, by Matt on Jan 9, 2015 19:15:15 GMT 1, I don't understand the appeal of an expensive watch. How accurate do you need the time to be for f***'s sake?
You could get a perfect reproduction of a Banksy or Mondrian and hang it instead of a print or an OG , the result would be the same. But of course that's not art...
Fine watches aren't about telling time of course, especially since we all have devices all over which tell perfect time.
Fine watchmaking is a craft, sometimes an art. If you get a chance to visit a Swiss manufacture, you will feel the hundreds of years of passion, quest for excellence, technical prowess, aesthetics combining form and function etc etc...
That makes it even more sad to see Hublot who are fine watchmaker get in bed with this clown...
