Mr Brainwash Print Release, by davievegas on Oct 29, 2015 20:19:43 GMT 1, Sold out in seconds. Literally hype! We all said that about the cab print and look at how much it has sold for since release date . Its at like $3k now or something silly. Would suck if this cop print turns out the same way for investing collectors that is.

Mr Brainwash Print Release, by savannahsam on Oct 30, 2015 2:33:37 GMT 1, same thing everyone said about the first Taxi cab print he did awhile back. I bought two of those and wish I didn't flip the first one so quick out of the gate as I only got $2500 for mine. Now you can't even find them for $3K and up! One to Flip and One to Ship! I took that money and bought a Shepard Fairey Piece on Wood which is not bad considering only spent $525 all in on one print. The best thing is that I still have one left. Trust me boys this will flip like pancakes.... Thing to consider: Other one was $500, this one is essentially double. Like I said earlier flipping like hot cakes....
I bought 2 regulars and a variant twas a expensive day! Plugged one off at $2K and change nothing like a free print! Cheers fellas!

Mr Brainwash Print Release, by Global Art Traders on Oct 30, 2015 9:52:51 GMT 1, Art, of course, is all about personal opinions and perception - my personal option is that Mr Brainwash can be a bit hit or miss, however most are wall friendly and the quality of the printing is top quality. This new print will look fantastic in the flesh, in my opinion.

Mr Brainwash Print Release, by daveart on Oct 30, 2015 14:24:51 GMT 1, Was recently in NYC .. its amazing the # of galleries selling brainwash now. right there on west broadway.. lots of canvases for 20k 30k etc. Mostly banksy rip offs thought which i never understand .. lots of flower thrower images, etc. i was in three high end galleries - ie. brainwash hanging next to Hirst, Warhol, etc. all 20k-100k art.. and the gallery people told me they get the MOST foot traffic regarding brainwash work. ie. people walking in saying "do you have brainwash pieces' etc. just throwing that out.. as said by others above .. wall friendly, consumeable, reasonable price points, backed by movie and name recognition ..etc. you can fight it .. but at this point i dont think you will beat it.

Mr Brainwash Print Release, by Deleted on Oct 30, 2015 14:35:16 GMT 1, Exactly, not really part of our culture anymore so not really worth talking about. May as well discuss Drake or Beiber etc. It has no place in any serious discussion around Street Art.

Well said. Can't beat it. He is the biggest street artist in the US I assume. Funny thing is, I mention shepard fairey to people and not many know who that is. I mention brainwash and they go nuts for the guy.

Not just in NYC, go into the high end galleries in old Bond Street in London and Warhols are next to Mr Brainwash.

I mention brainwash and they go nuts for the guy. LA saturation as well since it is mostly all made here. Almost all of these retail and name galleries need fat commission arrangements, steady supply and of course demand to off it, which they all get with BW and most the artists they carry. Ask most of these places why they do not have any Banksy and on the rare occasion you get an honest answer they will explain that they have little or no access to the works and on the works they can get they have to pay full market for. It just doesn't fit their business model. BW pieces are next to Hirst and Warhol because they give these galleries the same endless supply and massive commissions. I was speaking to a unnamed person from Martin Lawrence gallery in Las Vegas a few years ago when they started their big Warhol push. They had, and still have, over 20,000sq/ft of space in the Caesars forum shopping center, most of which was displaying the largest collection of Warhols I have ever seen. I was told ( actually whispered) when the Warhol estate started that massive release of works a few years back, they worked deals with countless large galleries all over the world to take large stock allotments at huge discounts and extremely flexible terms. What you see is what makes them money..period.

Mr Brainwash Print Release, by daveart on Oct 30, 2015 19:04:44 GMT 1, absolutely Black Apple..... individual collectors can take some high road about what art is best.. if you are paying lease, salaries, marketing, etc.. galleries stock what is selling. period. if they stock what they think people should buy. and they don't. bye bye gallery. it's the continuation of pop / mixed with Urban ? .. simple easy to consume art that fits well in your living room.. and i too had a big gallery tell me essentially "Shepard Fairey doesnt sell.. brainwash sells" which was funny in that a few miles away there was a Fairey display at Pace that was amazing.
