Yeah it has a decent comedy night on.. Just be weary of temple bar if your going to drink there as its a lovely spot and bit of banter but also a rip off.. The prices can be nuts.. Baggot street just off Stephens green has a large selection of solid pubs (to be honest there's just a lot of pubs) the national gallery has a nice carravagio a few jack b Yeats's stuff and few turners of that's what you like.. The Chester Beatty library has one of the best collections of ancient books in the world if that's what you like.. But tbh the 3 I prefer are the RHA which has a permanent Sean Scully collection the IMMA (museum of modern art) and the Collins Barracks which has a permanent collection of Eileen Grey's work... That's just a few of the galleries etc off top my head.. Wexford is nice too, pity you don't have the time to go west and do the Atlantic coast.. Brought the gf last yr (its just stunning)... There's a few Harringtons, Masers Eelus Espo and Eine round the place too but will have to rack my brains to remember where.. The Guinness brewery and Jameson distillery are in the city too and have good tours (Christ this city really has a connection with drink).. If you want anything specific pm me and will see what can do man.. In mean time will try think of few things for ya

Dublin for the next 4 days, talk to me !!, by .dappy on Feb 2, 2015 1:52:08 GMT 1, ... I did enjoy the Literary Pub Tour/Crawl with proff actors ... starts just off Grafton St and visits a number of pubs with a drink in each one ... provides historical interest and one or two public houses you did not know where there and will return to.

Just to add to what Momo said. Maybe the Bog Men in the national museum, the Book of Kells in trinity college or Kilmainham Gaol for a bit of history. Obviously there are pubs everywhere so you can't really go wrong. But, some favourites are "Kehoes" on Anne St just off Grafton street. (This definitely has nothing to do with the fact that there's a bookies outside the side door for sneaky bets.) And "Anseo" on Camden street which is also just a short walk from Grafton street. Agree with Steph about afternoon tea, but maybe try the Shelbourne if you're staying south side of the Liffey. And Dappys right about the hidden pubs on the literary tour.
Glendalough and the Wicklow Way drive on your way back from Wexford would also be nice. And Belfast would be worth visiting just to see all the sectarian murals if you had enough time. Hope you have a blast.

Dublin for the next 4 days, talk to me !!, by Momo on Feb 2, 2015 10:02:11 GMT 1, Yup, Glendalough is a lovely spot..
Trying to rack my brains a little about street art places but this link is a good start...http://www.joe.ie/life-style/spend-a-day-taking-in-some-brilliant-dublin-street-art/377646
It mentions Bernard shaw pub, good beer (and coffee during day where a lot of artists basically have freedom to work away so always decent stuff in there) Will keep thinking though, I know Tivoli car park is good too and has espo etc.. But has construction going on.. There's a Harrington in Temple bar and a few Maser's stuff round a collab with JR at the sugar club (if still there) that's pretty sweet

Dublin is a working city , and has all the trappings of a working culture... Some good some not so good and some... Plain bizarre...
Tinder is also very very... popular there.( so I hear...)

Dublin for the next 4 days, talk to me !!, by Cornish Crayon on Feb 3, 2015 22:08:37 GMT 1, Don't say that, I friggin love steak!!!
Last night tomorrow, so will have to see what's cooking.... I'm fussy when it comes to food, and steaks have to be cooked to perfection
Steak house right on Trafalgar Square will take some beating, forgotten name ?
Off to Wexford in the morning
