To be fair that wasn't Fะฏ......
So, what's the issue - other than him being a jammy git - given recent sales on the pink / magenta and the fact this seems like a sub-edition of 10, pricing is probably spot-on....if you want it, make him an offer, I'm sure he'll discount his eBay fees

Happened a year ago. For some reason, being offered a $2,750 print for an HPM by a new artist that a buyer is personally obsessed with was, and still is, beyond your imagination. I like how it's a Love Rat now haha (was u/s Grannies). The fact that I was offered it does not mean that they are equal in value in any way. Still always love to see it referenced bi-monthly by one of four users, otherwise I honestly wouldn't remember it happening
And really, FR has been better than the two of you despite his blatant flipping (and I don't even know who he is outside of this place). Simple question of who brings more smiles and laughs to the forum.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the show, but I love the concept and I think it was a success. I wish more artists could take over vacant stores and work their magic for a length of time. More of that please. Artists, take over things.
Edit: Artists used to do more of this kind of thing. Artistic and creative freedom and all that. I think perhaps art can be a little regimented these days.

I had only been a casual Borondo fan until he had his studio night last year and invited everyone to stop by (no, I wasn't there either, wrong side of pond). so yes, more of these types of events please.

With regards was it a good concept? from a distance I would say yes definitely. There are so many empty Units on the high street just shows if you use your creativity then anything is possible.

From a visitor point of view and eventual print sales view than I would say yes definitely.
With relation the artist being a success, I would say not as much so. When you look at the Marks and Stencils and subsequent I have Chalks Show in 2010 you would have hoped he would have taken the work to another level. In what I saw there were probably half a dozen very good pieces and an abundance of absolute dross. With any other artist this show could have been detrimental to their career. However now people seem to be buying Drans work more for Investment than artistic reasons. I think that shows from the current print releases which in my opinion are on par with Price Drop all be it with a bit more colour. Though the hype machines are in full motion on these to inflate to an unrealistic price.

Rather than offer a potentially empty promise on a slip of paper, I opted to hastily make something as a potential trade for Dran's 'Milkyway' canvasโฆ Creating my interpretation of Dran's 'I have chalks' and one based on Dran at work on the show in Soho. Both pieces were gifted to Dran at the show as a potential trade.
Obviously both characters were sculpted to mimic his artistic/illustrative style.
I had previously shared these on my IG account, but I wanted to wait until enough time had passed for Dran & Co to vet the 'Milkyway' trade/offers before posting elsewhere.
I assume that they opted for an alternative trade, I'm sure there were some cracking trade offers made.
I did enjoy making them and Dran seemed to appreciate the effort.
