Yeah that was the one,it was oil and when I enquired about it I was told there were plans to do a small edition in the oils. Not sure if they ever came about or if TABBY is still sitting on the idea?

Johnnys right that I mentioned an edition in oil, turns out I cant sit still long enough to make enough so its one of many project that run in the background, possibly for years. |

Maybe Iโm not as educated on the relationship between artist and gallery but I feel that many shouldnโt need gallery backing unless dealing with the enquiries, shipping, and sales becomes too much. Someone brought up GP in this post so using them for an example, several of their recent releases came from artists with less of a following on social media. In that regard it would seem Tabby doesnโt โneedโ their marketing. Could they use their mailing lists to solicit higher sales prices and introduce his work to new customers? Probably but I guess ultimately it comes down to if itโs worth it to the artist? I think that his prices and total output of work is comparable to many comparable artists, if he doesnโt need or want the help of a gallery no reason to give them a cut. All this depends on scale of the artist's ambition.
Ive enjoyed doing sales direct since I get to be in contact with those collecting and it lets me keep the prices lower. Nothing against galleries, they have their role and especially to save time Ill be connecting some new friendships in the future.
Also a heads up, if you wanted to get your hands on one of the concretes they are almost gone.
