Stunning. Powerful.  It's so refreshing to see an artist who has the soul of the zeitgest at his fingertips exert that power in an artistic and meaningful way.

by first time watching the pictures i thought the kitten was the "weakest" of 3 great and awesome works, but after i found that quote and kept watching it... i think its my fav now!
can't stop thinking about if the tumbleweed was specially arranged for that or if it was found there and maybe was his inspiration for the whole picture...

Banksy has balls, heart and talent. He creates a new kind of Art. He moved the art outside where it has to be, next to the people, close to the drama, to denounce wars and injustices, and to give protection, love to the kids, to the populations suffering, to give again constructions where there is destruction. A new concept. Art is a " weapen " that will can change stereotypes and minds, and draws the logic where ther is no logic but aberrations, murders in a desert of nobody but everybody. It is an artistic alarm, a world intellectual alert !
Of course we had by the past, now, artists taking parts to revolution or giving hard politics opinions, but most have done that in their studios, in the silence of a brush painting a canvas, or in interviews, books etc..,nothing serious. Once upon a timeout side , all is forgotten, has been forgotten.
Banksy, as a lonely and peacefully warrior - if we could say - is the traveler as Rimbaud, the silent passenger helping at his best to give peace a chance , throwing balls of paints in this battle, brushing all what he can do for all these kids, dying, injured, orphans and/or homeless... Banksy, his mind, his hands, his feet, his body, his brain and his chest, his heart and his fights, his humor and detachment, a man.
