Damaged print received from printshop. Recourse?, by nullvoid on Mar 20, 2015 7:38:36 GMT 1, Hey everyone just wanted to get some feedback here.
I picked up BLU's C M Y K from Pictures on Walls. It came quite quickly: shipped internationally from UK to TW in a couple of weeks.
Unfortunately the tube was slightly dented in transit and i think this ended up damaging the print inside. I was really looking forward to putting this up on the walls, but in this condition I'm not so sure. Worse, the size is too big for the art portfolio I usually put prints into that don't quite make it up on the walls.
I've already contacted POW (today, a few hours after I discovered the damage).
I'm just trying to figure out what is the common recourse here. At this point i'm resigned to just having to deal with this print as is, but hoping something miraculous will be offered.
What's normal practice in situations like this? And barring a replacement what's the best way, if any, to possibly smooth out these creases. Currently I have them laid flat and in a de-curling process.

As for it not fitting in your folio… they can't and won't (nor should they) get involved with that.
As for sorting out the creases, a paper restorer would do it but you'd need to figure out if it's worth it. In the UK we have Graham Bignell … not sure where TW is?
Good luck

Damaged print received from printshop. Recourse?, by Japerd on Mar 20, 2015 10:10:19 GMT 1, Hi there,
If you want a replacement POW will normally ask you to destroy the damaged print and send them some pictures of this, after that they will send you a new one...

Damaged print received from printshop. Recourse?, by nullvoid on Mar 20, 2015 10:32:22 GMT 1, Thanks Hubble Bubble , Japerd your guys' feedback helping put my mind more at ease.
Regarding TW: I'm an american expat in Taiwan (TW).
And I didn't expect that the print would fit into my art portfolio. I want to frame this one up. (Being a graphic designer, this one resonates with me for obvious reason.) I have a number of prints that I haven't quite gotten to framing and putting up on the walls. I still wanted a convenient way to occasionally browse those prints and protected behind a portfolio has been the best way. I was just thinking even if a worst case scenario I can't just toss this in there.

Damaged print received from printshop. Recourse?, by nullvoid on Apr 17, 2015 5:31:33 GMT 1, Just an update on this situation:
Pictures on Walls provided a replacement. As Hubble Bubble and Japerd both mentioned, I simply had to destroy the damaged print, provide photo proof and they sent out a replacement. I'm very relieved and can't wait to get this framed and up on the wall.
