What are you listening to .... on the Radio, by met on Jul 28, 2020 23:41:24 GMT 1, I wasn't actually familiar with Miriam Margolyes, but decided to have a listen, based on:
(i) your recommendation;
(ii) my fondness for Louis Theroux; and
(iii) a quick search that revealed the actress had previously represented Newnham College, Cambridge in the first season of University Challenge (1962โ63).
The interview was enjoyable, so cheers for that.
Towards the end, Margolyes' references to anti-Semitism brought to mind the eloquent and moving commentary of Emma Barnett regarding recent tweets by Wiley:

The artist Ai Weiwei has just unveiled his seven-metre-tall Gilded Cage at Blenheim Palace, a sculpture which addresses the international migrant crisis. He discusses this, as well as the largest exhibition of his work ever staged, in Lisbon, and why he has now made Portugal his home.

What are you listening to .... on the Radio, by Coach on Jan 2, 2022 22:39:22 GMT 1, This may be of interest to someone, perhaps. Listening to the Reith Lecture I heard that every single one is available on Sounds. What a treasure trove! The very first was given by none other than Bertrand Russell, in December 1948. Such a treat to hear such a huge character speak. I have yet to scroll through all that is there, but Iโm expecting great things. I do recall Grayson Perry giving the lectures not too long ago. And Iโm currently listening to the lectures given by Chief Rabbi Dr Jonathan Sachs (Sadly no longer with us), who I used to enjoy on the Today programme.

The second episode of the Sachโs lectures is a fascinating study of the philosophy of morality

Ukrainian-born and Berlin-based Kateryna Zavoloka, who goes by the stage name Zavoloka, is a blossoming composer, sound artist, performer, and visual artist that devotes herself to orchestrating uncompromising experimental music free from genre-dependent definitions and styles. Her works always stem from a very strong conceptual base, unveiling creations that are more than just music, exhibiting deep artistic research, and combining traditional and mechanical elements to show the boundlessness of her creative freedom.
