Hanging in Rented Accomodation, by crysak on Apr 7, 2015 14:19:43 GMT 1, For those that are concerned about damaging the walls, has anyone hung any frames with the "command" strips below:
www.apartmenttherapy.com/how-to-hang-a-p-92595
there's a few variants, I'm planning on using the stickier type (no re-use) unlike the ones listed above.
I've just got my print framed and it's pretty big (800-600mm, so I'm considering using 4-8 of these strips to hang, but worried that it "may" come down. We have a clock and various other <1kg items hung with them and no issues, but jsut a little concerned about it falling.

Hanging in Rented Accomodation, by Sic on Apr 7, 2015 14:54:03 GMT 1, I'm with DBSØN on this one, I wouldn't trust them. I've used monkey hooks before. Real small hole that is covered easily and holds a ton of weight. Not sure if that may work for you.

Hanging in Rented Accomodation, by otomi on Apr 7, 2015 15:11:26 GMT 1, the Command stuff is good but I never put art on them. If you stick them on a painted wall/wallpaper it might rip off the paint/wallpaper, so you have to watch out for that. I have never used them over extended time periods so I can't say if they dry out at some point. What's more expensive patching up a hole in a wall or a broken frame and damaged print ...

Hanging in Rented Accomodation, by frezza on Apr 8, 2015 12:43:19 GMT 1, I used to use them on light stuff all the time (mainly because I am constantly moving stuff about) They are a slightly flawed product in that the application process isn't as simple as they suggest but ok once you get the knack.
I'd only ever use the large ones though regardless of the size of the picture.

Hanging in Rented Accomodation, by hippychick on Apr 8, 2015 13:04:32 GMT 1, I'm in the minority on this one but I have used them on framed prints 18x24 and under - always use 4 strips per print and haven't had any problems apart from one time when I didn't press the strips together hard enough.
Prints have been up in this house for 2 1/2 years so far - on painted walls only, would never use them on wallpaper
I do use picture hooks for larger pics and hangman picture hangers for mirrors and super large prints / OGs Hangman
