Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by The Italian One on May 13, 2020 9:06:16 GMT 1, got it thanks
never understand why AP or PP cost more than regular edition.
to be honest, as a collector, i prefer regular signed edition with possible low edition number

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by lv90210 on May 13, 2020 10:19:22 GMT 1, There is also PP's. Green PP Edition of 2. Grey PP Edition of 2. I own one of the green ones and its deffo edition of 2 according to the COA.
I'm no where near the print at the moment to check to see if its written PP/01 or PP/02 or x/2.
Do you own a grey one ?

The PP's I own were at good prices at the time to make it feasible.

Unless number 1, low numbers mean nothing.
Then there is a guy who collects AP number 1's only - try and have that convo with him.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by Nomis21 on May 13, 2020 13:45:17 GMT 1, Some great sales at very solid prices on Tate Ward, but at the same time almost half of lots passed (although primarily due to very unrealistic estimates): Choose Your Weapon (Cool Grey) 44'220Happy Choppers Unsigned 24'120Flying Copper Unsigned 21'440 Pulp Fiction Unsigned 30'820Flag (Gold) Signed 29'480 Trolleys (LA) Unsigned 17'420Updated also full database on www.banksy-value.com, which shows now again an increase of 1.25% for May so far. How can these prices be correct??
On the Tate Ward Website they quote prices INCLUDING buyers premium
For example CYW is stated as being sold for £41,250 inc BP??

Strong price for the GDP Thrower at £1,850 and unbelievable price for the Di-faced tenner at £1,750 given Laz was selling them at £1,250 yesterday...

Seems that they only applied 25% BP but no VAT on BP (5%) and ARR (4%). All of the lots are marked as ARR payable and if you buy from Europe I am sure you will be charged the 30% BP inclusive of VAT. Or am I missing something?

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by glap86 on May 14, 2020 19:11:30 GMT 1, I have purchased via her gallery. Very nice to deal with and they have some amazing pieces. I am guessing like many galleries much of the work is on consignment but they have some nice pieces. As for pricing, what is anything worth in this market. First time I heard of the gallery was a few weeks ago when I was looking for Banksquiat print and they had one for sale. Her responses to my questions made me think she didn't have much of an idea about the market and within a couple emails I thought it was a scam. Not saying it was, maybe just not a great communicator over email, but I backed away quickly.
I had a very weird experience with her discussing the Banksquiat. She was unwilling to give certain assurances re the CoA (granted, my condition was that if she fails to deliver the CoA, she buys back at the FMV at the time she fails to deliver; she would only agree to buy back at what I paid). She also indicated at one point that she got them directly from PC/Banksy. When I later asked if she owned it or was selling on consignment, she said she owned it. When I followed up to ask if she was the original owner, she said the collector is no longer willing to sell. Just a lot of inconsistencies in dealing with her that sent a million red flags that I typically don’t get when dealing with a gallery.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by LJCal on May 17, 2020 10:31:35 GMT 1, Any that would able to guide me on current valuation of Because I’m Worthless unsigned? These tend to hammer for around £14-18k + fees. Private sales depend on condition and if sold with PC, I’ve seen these sell for between £13k-£23k in the last few months. More than half of these have condition issues so if you have have one that is mint and authenticated I’d be looking for £20k+. CAT have one for sale at £20k, not sure on condition.

Once the House has taken their comms off the hammer price, there’s an argument to suggest that the seller may have done better with a private sale. I looked at the results and initially thought that they were a bit soft.
I would have thought that some of these sellers may well be thinking that the prices were less than they’d expected. (the seller of U/S GR could have thought he was about to have it right off after that recent Sotherby’s sale !! 😐)

I agree, there weren’t any major price gains this time, but If you forget the “outlier” Sotheby’s results on Bomb Hugger and Gangsta Rat then in general the result is actually in line with current pricing I think.

I looked into this print amongst others recently, I think you’ll be looking at circa £9k - £11k for an unsigned.
What is the current valuation of an unsigned “ I Fought the Law” With COA please? I’m in the market for a purchase but unsure just what the current price is.. if any one can help out with valuation or direction to an available print it’s much appreciated. (Is the eBay seller on here?) I looked into this print amongst others recently, I think you’ll be looking at circa £9k - £11k for an unsigned.

(Is the eBay seller on here?) The eBay listing states it’s “My Art Broker” I am sure they frequent this forum but a quick Google Search will pull them up. Very fair and reliable people to deal with.
