Never looking for an argument - just a discussion. Firstly I own a Flag so any reason to be talking prices down is instantly negated.
Iโve been lurking in the wings here for ages - and this sort of jubilation is so unsustainable. Yes a flag hammered at 40k odd, does that suddenly make a flag worth ยฃ40k? No. Maybe through Hangup , through an auction house but privately , I think youโd get ยฃ25k.
There is a reason why since yesterday Iโve seen the most amount of for sale Banksy posts in the last couple months. People canโt believe their luck. Everyone starts to get undercut and you end up with a glut of Banksy for sale.

You canโt deny that thereโs been a huge increase in prices over the last few weeks (which I also agree isnโt sustainable) but Iโm not sure why anyone would sell their Flags for ยฃ25k when the likeliness is they could consign it to a decent auction house at the moment and get more?
I think the issue now is that for a lot of people like myself canโt justify having a piece of paper worth that much on the wall when things like buying a house are a bigger priority. After yesterdayโs results there was bound to be a rush of people selling either because of this reason or because theyโre fearful a crash might be round the corner.
Anyhow nice to have a discussion. Far too much sniping on this forum. Sometimes feels more like a Reddit thread or YouTube comment section. Peace.

Theres gonna be a glut of work for sale now as people look to cash out (which has already started happening, I've seen 2 sale ends and a bomb hugger today) which will hopefully level out the pricing. I don't think the extreme rises are good for the short / mid term market. |

Yeah it made the wall. I canโt look it in the eye now itโs up for adoption though. To be fair Iโve been collecting prints for 17 years and only sold 4 prints (3 of which were so I could afford my copy of Flags) Iโm not in the habit of flipping prints but if someone offered me ยฃ35k+ Iโd find it very hard to turn down. If it doesnโt go then I wonโt be heartbroken to have to keep it on the wall.

everything has a price for which it will sell so you will be able to sell this for most likely far more than you paid for it given the change in the market in the 3 months youโve owned it. It comes down to how much money you are happy to sell it for because it will sell.

If the value ever goes above ยฃ150k, I maybe tempted to sell. Interesting to see if the Banksquiat sale will have an effect on Choose Your Weapon prints - only a matter of time before a good colour ed25 goes to auction.
I think when a colour choose your weapon next goes on sale at auction, it could easily reach ยฃ150k to ยฃ200k. They are great looking modern/contemporary prints, they rarely come up for sale at auction and they were the last banksy prints you could buy direct.
Thanks for getting back to me, it was a good purchase as I paid less than ยฃ20k for it originally. If the value ever goes above ยฃ150k, I maybe tempted to sell. Interesting to see if the Banksquiat sale will have an effect on Choose Your Weapon prints - only a matter of time before a good colour ed25 goes to auction. I think when a colour choose your weapon next goes on sale at auction, it could easily reach ยฃ150k to ยฃ200k. They are great looking modern/contemporary prints, they rarely come up for sale at auction and they were the last banksy prints you could buy direct. |

Print is in excellent condition. Comes with COA. Framed to museum standards. Very low number (no POW stamp).
