Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by Ruggs on Dec 5, 2020 10:07:31 GMT 1, A good friend and former work colleague is seriously considering selling her unsigned GWRB. Itโs in pristine condition. Floated inside a simple black box frame. It has PC COA. Iโve seen this for myself on several occasions. I photographed it for the PC certificate application and organised getting it framed. MFM did the framing. Iโve told her itโs in excess of ยฃ200k right now. A more accurate figure would be appreciated. I must stress at this stage itโs not actually for sale.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by jkd on Dec 5, 2020 19:34:49 GMT 1, Hi,
what do you think about the price development of 'love is in the air' unsigned?
+200K @ sotherby's in September '20
"only" 165K @ international art centre in November '20 (New Zealand)
myartbroker has one on offer and told me the other day the price is 137K which surprised me. The same people gave an evaluation of 140-160K just two weeks earlier when offering to buy my LIITA.
I will anyways have to wait at least a few more month for my COA before I can sell but would be curious to know what the more seasoned collectors and forum members here make of this. I am new to the business side of street art.
are prices levelling after a peak or will this remain volatile depending of what is offered in the market?

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by mohawk21 on Dec 5, 2020 20:22:59 GMT 1, 2 things on the LITTA
1) this is a classic image that we have seen a few times in Banksyโs work. Arguably second to GWB in terms of iconic images. But these pop of way less than GwB particularly ones that are in good condition.
2) pricing wise I would say we are seeing a rise and I think price wise itโs well in the high 100s, low 200 as a start. If you absolutely have to sell (as I feel this will keep rising) then list it with a good auction house in an appropriate auction.
Disclosure: I have a signed one and had listed it for low 100s a year or more ago but what I was going for become unavailable and then last week prior to this auction turned down a 465k gbp offer. I see this print in the category of GwB with a lot less variants etc

Over two months ago I was talking to a few auction houses about banksy, one guy was telling me it's the busiest they have ever been and been making best profits/results.
He used a quite well off family as an example who he knows well and they would spend a few hundred thousand dollars just on a two week skiing holiday and a few hundred thousand on summer holiday. As there is no international travel they have all this money to spend, the parents then bought a few banskys for their kids rooms.๐
I can see things increasing or staying at this level for another year as people still won't be able to travel. Also government stimulus will still continue into 2021 and also worldwide interest rates are around zero percent and won't be moving up anytime soon. So people are borrowing money to spend on art as they make more profit.
Also I'd say investors like banksy prints as there is limited supply and he has pest control so that gives the comfort of no fakes.. and as pointed out these tier one auctioneers are achieving high prices compared to the smaller ones that also sell key rings etc. The rich trust these auctioneers more.
I'm no economist but that's my thoughts.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by vandamme on Dec 5, 2020 23:29:33 GMT 1, I remember wanting ยฃ12,000 & ยฃ10,000 for my signed Girl With Red Balloon & LIIITA around 2010-2011 and some people on the forum thought I was asking too much. Prices do level off with banksy but they always seem to go up again.
I actually think by the end of 2021 you won't see a signed Banksy sell for less than ยฃ100,000 unless Banksy releases more signed prints by then.

If you apply the percentage increases you could stretch that statement to unsigned prints

As a bonus I have also added all AP sales, which are visible in orange when you click any of the Signed print details. They are not calculated in the index though.

Nola Multicoloured rains are all ap's
www.banksy-value.com/individual.php?printn=Nola%20(Multicolor%20Rain)&edition=Signed
So the one you marked "signed" (Pink and Yellow) is an AP.
I think you need to make an exception for this print to include AP's.
