Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by newgreg on Jun 21, 2021 12:27:25 GMT 1, Looking to finally add the first Banksy to my collection.
Does anyone know what a signed Napalm is going for? I believe the last sale I saw (Christie's on April 1st) was 68,750 GBP. Any insight is appreciated!

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by Dive Jedi on Oct 22, 2021 11:34:35 GMT 1, No worries.
It's actually a fake of a fake......
It's a reproduction of an album cover that Banksy had nothing to do with in the first place.
So people selling these as a "signed Banksy" are truly scum of the earth......

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by JFCC on Oct 26, 2021 10:31:48 GMT 1, I know I can look on Banksy value but that shows auction prices after fees but looking to see what i could expect to get on a private sale for a White Rain Nola, Stop and Search, Colour Trolleys All are really good pieces but we are still in weird times, for all artists not just Banksy.
Last week we saw a White Nola passing at Forum auctions. However, it is iconic, although not rare as its an edition of 289, but even so realistically on private sale you should be returned ยฃ105-115k. That is some way from the top of the market but buyers seem to be able to dictate price a bit at present due to the oversupply and the absurd frequency of Banksy auctions.
Stop and Seach has been seen at auction many times over in the last couple of years but is still a favourite and ยฃ70-75k is a fair bet.
Colour Trolleys is the hardest of all to value but even though it spiked in auction last month it is unlikely to get ยฃ35-45k in a private sale.
My view private sales work best by offering the buyer a saving in fees and allowing the seller to get more than the likely hammer price!
Just my view!!

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by bonkzo on Nov 17, 2021 17:22:23 GMT 1, Anyone have an idea of what the GDP drones (Duck & Cover) are likely worth (with CoA)? They're an edition of 50, but only 15 were sold via GDP. I'm wondering if it would be reasonable to value them around the same as current estimates for the Grappling Hook - another sculpture with a similar edition number.
Also - does anyone have any opinions on using Heffel (major Canadian auction house) for selling such a piece?

Worth lots.
Sell privately or via a gallery.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by sm1tch on Nov 25, 2021 16:54:17 GMT 1, Wondering if anyone has any advice on set of GDP cushions I have.
Will the value of these go up if I keep them? I can sell them in a couple of weeks for around 20k but wondering if anyone has any advice on whether I should just keep them instead?
Also I got told by pest control that I wonโt receive a COA for them. Does anyone know if pest control ever change their minds so to speak?

fwiw,
they're cushions.
you , i suspect , selected them because you liked them - which is cool.
keep them.
As discussed in the past , afaik - there is no coa to go with your cushions - so whilst that might be bad news it's good news as well.
..good news in that you can keep them.
of course you could spend an age trying to decide on keeping the cushions or selling them to a gallery - but at the end of the day - they're cushions without COA.
if it was a lollipop - what would you do ?
i think pc have it right when they said no coa for some gdp items - their reasoning is probably sound.
also .. i do not think they'll turn around and say , at any point in the future.. "oh hang on those cushions - yeah let's give them coa's .. that's a mistake from the past."
..perhaps i'm wrong ...
enjoy your cushions - and don't forget they are soft furnishing - they will disintegrate over time - unless you give them to the V&A - they have people who would "preserve" them ... for people in the future... who might not know what V&A "stands for".
Just think in a few years time when you are in the pub you can say you won the lottery... and some Banksy Cushions... yeah .. it's a good story - it might sound like rubbish - but no seriously , it is cool.
I know i won nothing.. i have no story... but then .. i didn't go for the cushions.. my loss.
yeah i know - we've all lost a few.

I'll take that given I'm still up well over 10,000% on the prints that I own.
It all depends on your start point in the Banksy market.
