Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by Deleted on May 21, 2016 17:29:36 GMT 1, There was a forum member looking for one of these in last year willing to pay £7k if i recall but cldnt find one. I know im a bit vague but if anyone is that interested they'll find the thread. If i recall correctly her search went on for a couple of weeks without success.
I picked one up on ebay for £4.5k in October 2014 which i thought was a fair price for me and the seller, but within a few months they were going for closer to £6k.

Last LN sold on auction ebay for £7300 and £7900 For a gallery to sale it at 8/9k still is a good price

I had to stalk it like a MF and was up against at least 1 other monkey hunter.
I took the trouble of inspecting the print before bidding so knew what I was buying. I also know the other bidder had not and so was buying "on word"
The piece was indeed "super extra strong minty" with COA.
I saw one go later at the dreweatts & bloomsbury auction for £5k but do not know the condition, I assume it had COA. I had enquired on the condition of another banksy in the same auction and it was 'far from mint" and had at best storage creases and other marks. So not sure if the price here is a good indicator.
peace and love

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by northfaced on May 23, 2016 20:26:03 GMT 1, Thank you for the responses. A friend recommended I come to this forum to ask around. I am in the market for a new Banksy print, contacted a few galleries and these were the UK>US converted prices at the moment. Personally I felt like they were a bit high, but I have not made a purchase in about a year or so (Trolleys unsigned for 4900$ in pristine condition)... so was unsure of todays rates.
I was hoping to find a Grannies for around $6000, HC for $6500 and/or Morons for $5000, shipped to the US. Not sure how this will play out. Is it even worth negotiating with a gallery? We seem to be way off in price.
Todays exchange rate is 1.448 = $1

If you ever have to make a claim you want to make sure that you have sufficient funds to comfortably secure a replacement on the open market.
