Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by stillborncrisps on Jun 13, 2016 18:12:57 GMT 1, He might wanna double check how it was framed.
If it was a high street 'professional framer', your brother (or the next owner) might be in for a dry-mounted surprise if the frame is ever opened, which would significantly affect the value.
Do you know where/how he got it done?

I'd have that opened - some of the framed prints I've seen have a "mount mark" all the way around now - worth checking - and I'd sell it unframed fwiw

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by Jimmy Oscar on Jun 13, 2016 19:04:54 GMT 1, Hi, Reluctantly looking to sell my Soup Can (ed of 10) Its the Pink, Cherry, Sky Blue colourway. 50cm x 35cm No idea what these are worth at the moment as they dont seem to come up very often. Can anyone help on pricing please? Thanks! I'd say £11,875-£12,500 based on the most recent results last week at Phillips.
Not sure quoting the latest gallery price is a fair way of gauging real value?
If you're gonna do that only fair to show what the seller actually received - and of course what the buyer paid.
Then a seller can choose to list for what he wants.
I would never pay on here - and I never have - what someone has paid at a high street auction house.
Just an observation.

Yep I'd say Stik Liberty prints are now £10,000 based on the most recent results last week at Phillips.

It would be better if it was neither artist!

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by uncle on Jun 14, 2016 12:56:11 GMT 1, I was looking for an indication of current value, which I gratefully received. Auctions costs can go both ways as we all know, sometimes someone gets a steal, other times pay over the odds.
Given that there are at least two in the same price bracket I'd say the price that is published in this case is realistic based on other Banksy prints of this type (edition/ variation/ desirability etc etc). Not to mention I wouldn't let it go for much less - I'd rather keep it.
Also, on the basis that something is valued based on what the seller gets, how does that work for ebay sales? Should the price be what the seller gets after fees, or what the buyer and other bidders were prepared to pay?
One final thing, anyone want to buy the said item?
Cheeky - I know, I'll put a sales thread together tonight.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by quixote on Jun 15, 2016 4:54:44 GMT 1, My Brother has a Banksy Choc Donuts. He's the original owner, bought directly from POW. Professionally framed and on the wall since purchase. What's the price in these? He's thinking of selling. He will need a Pest Control COA but with that you are looking at around £12k
There was one for £11k a few days ago on this forum that I tried buying and it didn't sell. (I was the person it WAS on hold for) condition issues changed that. You're honestly looking at £10.5 for a buyer as that was my original high bid.

The basis of art evaluation is typically the price of sale, with reference to the venue. An evaluation based on the phillips action is relevant for how you should price this print, but take into account blue chip houses like that that take 10-20% from both the buyer and seller, so maybe subtract 10% for the ease of a private sale? People like to get up in arms that auction pricing isn't relevant, but the truth is a seller has the option to take their piece to auction or sell privately, its just wether or not you want to roll the dice on an auction that could blow up huge or sell after one low bid. With private sales you have the ease of establishing a firm price and no fees. The choice is yours brother!

If you are looking to sell, someone else recently posted an thread. They mentioned how much they were looking to pay. I can't remember the amount now. It might be worthwhile looking for that post.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by quixote on Jun 21, 2016 16:43:38 GMT 1, Information regarding unsigned Barcodes:
For anyone who would like to know pricing with these as I have been on the hunt for one for quite some time. Galleries are asking all the way up to £13.5 and as low as £9500 (depending on gallery's credibility) for an extreme mint with a bright red stamp and never framed print. I have personally missed out on two from two different galleries at £10.5 and £11k. There is one for sale on this forum but it's not flawless. I am unaware of any mint unsigned Barcodes for £8-9k private or gallery that is looking to sell.
If someone does get a cherry mint unsigned Barcode for those prices then thats a fantastic buy (in my mind). Just thought I would fill in any members on this forum regarding current pricing.
