Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by coller on Jul 29, 2015 23:57:47 GMT 1, Thank you Ling, are they fairly quick to sell if need be? Yes. If the piece is in good condition and with COA you won't find it hard to sell in the current market. Especially if it's as nice as that example ^ I'd have to disagree; from what I've seen, it can take a bit of time to sell a WSM. Not trying to knock you; just trying to help the buyer. The image seems to be an acquired taste, even though I personally love it.
Of course you can always list it at 2.5k and it'll fly, but at fair market value I've seen some sit for a bit before selling.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by RoboJ on Jul 30, 2015 9:01:34 GMT 1, Thank you guys, are the prices slowly going up or have they had their bubble and either maintain reduce in value? I would not buy one as an investment however it would be good to know if I did need to sell it, i could and for as much as I paid.

Buy art if you like it. If you need to sell it, you'll be able to; might make some money, might lose some money. If you can't afford losing 3,000 GBP altogether, then don't spend it on art.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by RoboJ on Jul 30, 2015 12:39:59 GMT 1, I understand what you mean. I think its not so much being able to afford it but with anything valuble I buy I just like to have an idea that if I want to move house say that I could sell what I no longer wanted in a reasonable time frame, or are they like certain boats where it would actually take a few months to sell because the markets not that big and theres plenty out there.

I wouldn't bet on a quick sell for any print, honestly; it can often take time to find the right buyer, even for a very desirable print. There are often issues with buyers not having money at the time of sale, the general price of print, upcoming/recent auction results delaying buyers, etc. that will cause a potentially quick sale to take months.
And like I said before, WSM isn't a print that flies off the shelves here from what I've seen. Seems like there are always 5+ on the bay, and quite a few at the online galleries. Also keep in mind that probably 95% of the world has no idea what "Weston Super Mare" is/means, so that limits you further.
Not to judge, but it seems like you're pretty focused on the investment end of the deal; if that's the case, I'd stay away from picking up the WSM. Just my opinion.

If you are not too bothered about cost but want to be able to sell in a hurry and not lose money then you want to be buying LIITA or Barcode and certainly not WSM. You will always be able to sell ASAP and chances are you will make a few quid even if you buy at todays prices.

If you're concerned about resale, then get an unsigned rat, monkey, tiger, rioter, or girl. They will go quickly, and are most likely to continue appreciating in value.
I think Monkey Queen is the most under-valued print at the moment, given its history. That is also probably because I own one, but yeah. Classic piece, banned by the Queen at the Jubille, not many originals made outside of the print edition (whereas GWRB and LN have a ton of canvas versions) and the MQ originals often look worse than the print, and still seems to be on the low end of the price range.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by RoboJ on Jul 30, 2015 16:47:12 GMT 1, I would love one of the monkeys! But they are over double the price so that's out of my league unless somebody was willing to trade for one of my pieces or a commission (I'm an artistic engineer. I make one offs for big PR stunts and TV shows)

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by RoboJ on Jul 30, 2015 17:03:10 GMT 1, There's a MQ in a gallery for a little less. Laugh Now is my favourite, my friend has an original which looks awesome. Again it's just the bit too much right now. Do people trade prints for things like bespoke furniture? Happy to show my portfolio and clients list if you have something amazing in mind

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by beany on Jul 31, 2015 23:21:19 GMT 1, Any ideas on current price for BME unsigned , good/excellent condition. Currently framed with UV glass to conservation standards but with a slight tape pull on back (about 10mm) from previous framing but unnoticeable from front and there is slight rippling in centre of print that needs attention. Registered in my name with POW and with COA in hand. Any ideas would be appreciated as may need to sell. Thanks.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by goingdownthedran on Aug 5, 2015 22:33:34 GMT 1, Hi everyone,
Thoughts on fair prices for:
Weston Super Mare (signed or unsigned) Bomb Middle England (signed or unsigned) VLH
The three pieces I want to own more than any others....
I've seen a signed WSM for sale on ebay for ยฃ10.5K but assume that may be slightly inflated. Guessing BME will be similar pricing (ยฃ3K+ for unsigned, nearing ยฃ10 for signed?) Very Little Helps - any chance of finding this for under ยฃ10K these days?
