Seeing some past sales of edition run of 12 or 18, do you think ยฃ10-11k for this unique big work are right?

Faile Artwork, VALUATION, by Poly Mindset on Aug 8, 2017 19:53:32 GMT 1, To which past sales are you referring? Could you help me in giving a price to this work? While it's true that special Faile pieces are difficult to price on the secondary market I think you have to do a comparative analysis in regards to other Faile pieces. A prime example I could give you is in the case of Banks1986 who was selling a beautiful original 1/1 full color Faile piece on wood with metal edges and he was asking $10k usd. I don't know that it sold and there are currently no pictures I can post because he used Photobucket for his thread and the pics are no longer available. However, a buyer would probably ask himself which piece is more special and which piece is more visually appreciable. I don't pretend to stereotype all buyer so please understand this is just my opinion. I think you should be happy to get $7.5-8k usd. Although, it is a beautiful piece I think it lacks the vibrancy of color which Faile is so well known for. To tell you the truth, personally I prefer the full color version because it has so much more pop. Of course I may be totally bias because I own the color version. I would shoot banks1986 a message and see what he thinks. Also since Sugar is interested in the piece you might want to get his opinion on a fair price as he is an avid Faile collector. Also contact Andyroo in Australia as he has been a Faile collector for some time. After you get numerous opinions from some members who know a little bit about the Faile market you may come to a more realistic conclusion as to the value of your piece. I wish you all the best of luck with your endeavor.

Faile Artwork, VALUATION, by sugar72 on Aug 8, 2017 20:25:08 GMT 1, I'm with you all the way there. It's a notoriously hard market to price. The beauty though is you are appealing to true collectors as opposed to flippers but downside of this is that the strength of purchase is just as much with the buyer as well as the seller, you really need an auction and see what someone is willing to pay but be sure you really want to sell as it may not realise the price you want.
Personally I love the colour version but I also love this. Love the monochromatic quality, almost pencil drawn quality.
If it is 1/1 and hence a true original and judging next to more popular images (only just though!!) But in an edition of say 5 that go for about 4k I would say 5 k UK pounds or so might be fair. But just my opinion I am Jo expert.
At end of day it's how desperate you are to sell and what a buyer is willing to pay and being a 1/1 you'd think it would act as a premium but only problem with this is that there are no benchmark prices and so liquidity is far slower than say a larger edition that has track record.
If I had some cash currently I'd make an offer!!

If I had some cash currently I'd make an offer!! Yes, my estimate was a price/value if he found the right collector. If he was looking for a quick sale the price would drop by at least $1k usd or more. I agree with his best bet would be to put it in an auction. I would suggest paying the cost to set a reserve so that he wouldn't have to sell it to a low bidder but he could always lift the reserve if it got close to what he would accept as his lowest price. If it were me, I'd keep it and enjoy it.

Poly Mindset thanks mate for your kind suggestion, ttuly appriciated! I'm actually change a bit my taste and would like to re-arrange some works with new artists.. but honestly I found this piece a key piece in my collection and I'm keeping it still for sometime.. I was only curious to know the value of piece (cuz I know is hard to tell!) Actually the pictures don't do justice to the colours of the work: the light blue paint is very bright, and the light pink paint on the backdground match it perfectly.. Plus there's ร lot of bronze glitter paint dots that I can't captured.. and coffee stains all over.. Well, I think the colours gave a soft balance to the violence rapresented (it's always a comic pics) in the work.. Nice to speak with Faile fans!

Faile Artwork, VALUATION, by forgotmypassword on Jan 15, 2018 19:24:36 GMT 1, Any ideas on value for this print?
Too Good to be True 2009 measures 38x25 inches. Looking to sell, but not up on Faile prices right now.
It is an original 1/1, so no others out there.
Be interested to know what ya reckon.
Cheers

Faile Artwork, VALUATION, by jgg on Feb 9, 2018 19:45:24 GMT 1, I saw a few of those on eBay last week with an asking price of 350 pounds. Donโt know the actual going rate but it seems a bit steep to me. Really nice print , though. Itโd be interesting to know a less inflated market value Cheers

Faile Artwork, VALUATION, by Howard Johnson on Feb 15, 2018 17:06:56 GMT 1, Price check for this Faile Original 2006. Sinful Girls Torn. Measures 33" x 25" On Super Thick Paper Combination of Fear Made Him A Monster and Sinful Pleasures. This is epic. I'd say at least $3-4k, but I'd shoot a little higher, maybe 5k if you can move it. Its a wonderful piece!

Faile Artwork, VALUATION, by dmm8878 on Mar 7, 2018 14:16:57 GMT 1, Saw this too late! Do you know what it finished at? Last I saw with about 30 minutes to go, it had 4 bids and was up to $2500 (plus 20% buyer's premium), so at least $3000 USD.
