I own only originals from them since they are just good value IMO. But just look at the Faile Wanted Thread... same images being asked for. Those can command a premium. So that is why I can safely say, if there is no market for it, offer it at your original cost... you enjoyed it and let a new collector enjoy it in their home. If there is a real market for it, I am sure people will be trying to outbid each other to get it.

There was a sepia Strange Encounters for sale here at $2200 usd with no takers so you can probably use that as a gauge since it was released around the same time. Happens everyday is the stronger image so I assume there is a premium over strange encounters. Not bad for a print sold at 250 quid 10 years ago.

Not sure but I am biased as I have the edition of 5 version. Yours probably as bkboi said. It is also a piece done at height of POW when Eine was doing the screen printing there (for Banksy as well I think!). Also a classic image and a rare stencil from faile. It's whatever someone is prepared to pay but would have thought 1500 -2000 pounds.

Really? There are a few Faile pieces that I know that would sell for 3x original cost. List it on ebay and see if there is any interest on this piece. BTW, I am just staring at that Black Sub Rosa (which is a coveted image) on Ebay and it has gone unsold for the longest time when essentially the seller is asking for cost.

So short of a big money market manipulator poping some big auction results invader style in not sure what you are looking for. On a 30 year time horizon we are having a different discussion. Ps, subrosa is awesome, but it isn't happens everyday or wolf within...bit those are my biases

I would say that a large percentile of Faile works are in the hands of collectors and that as older prints trade hands, they are going to permanent collections. The unadulterated market makes it difficult to make a quick buck and so the works are largely purchased by people who want to own Faile. |

Auction = a bit over cost.
General rule of thumb, if it was a piece bought during the height 2007-2010, expect to take a hit unless it is one of the more coveted images like surfer horse, dog bite, savage world.
