BAST Artwork, VALUATION, by foreman on Jan 26, 2018 23:14:10 GMT 1, That seems insanely high, but maybe others will chime in and agree with you... Insanely high. Excuse me I meant to say $2,000-$3,000... You have a finster that just sold at auction for $3,125 and a pow mickey for $2,375 at the Abington auction. In my opinion, the wall friendly bast with a good balance in composition, and nice amount of handfinishing work typically appeal to a bigger group and go for higher price, I think this one fits in that bucket.

BAST Artwork, VALUATION, by Poly Mindset on Jan 27, 2018 1:18:15 GMT 1, Would have to agree with this valuation. In comparison the "Finster" was an edition of just 8 and done with actual spray paint. Additionally, the "Mickey" that just sold at auction was a so called "one off" IMO it was probably from the edition of 6. Listing it as a one off is a shady area because although it may be from an edition of 6, technically none of the 6 were exactly the same. Pure Evil and other artist will take this route as well. Take it for what you will (which IMO isn't much), but according to EB the last sale of one was July of last year and the highest price is listed just under $900.

BAST Artwork, VALUATION, by Howard Johnson on Jan 30, 2018 6:40:47 GMT 1,
I'd go with 850-1200. I sold a silver last year and there really wasn't a market over 1k. It's a very cool print but it doesn't Pack the punch that his good work does. Plus. Mickey with a gun? Even though this was probably an interesting idea initially, it's been beaten into the ground IMHO.

Having previously owned and sold the plain gold version a couple of years ago, it's a nice print but very basic compared to other heavily finished, rawer prints. This is obviously more desirable because of the spray and hand finishing, but fits somewhere within this range.

BAST Artwork, VALUATION, by Howard Johnson on Mar 28, 2018 0:39:52 GMT 1, Please can someone assist with the going rate for a Bast Mickey? Cheers in advance. $750-$1200. The two editions he did with Mickey are HPMS so the price varies widely based on the hand finishing. I couldn't believe it, but I was able to snag a crazy mickey revolution just last week. They are both great, so you cant go wrong with either edition. Happy hunting!

I assume that the lower end of that range would be for of the 100 edition regular Mickey's from POW?
Can anyone inform me to the differences between those POW runs, I think the Glitter ones are obvious, but how different are the Coloured edition of 40 from the normal edition of 100?
Thanks again in advance.

Can anyone inform me to the differences between those POW runs, I think the Glitter ones are obvious, but how different are the Coloured edition of 40 from the normal edition of 100? Thanks again in advance. Honestly I wouldn't put that much emphasis on the specific edition in terms of pricing. They all are slightly different and while the glitter one may be slightly more expensive, the regular edition has some of the best hand finishing. The "colored" edition is just one color on each print (ie the image is covered in only pink, orange, ect), but I could be wrong. I'd just try to find the one you like the best as the price difference is negligible. Same advice with the revolution mickey, similer image, but square dimensions and metallic gold/silver inks.
IMHO, having owned a few over the years, is that the pow mickey looks best with some minor paint splatters, which complement the image rather then distract from it. I'd go the opposite way on the revolution print, as the heavily hand finished ones are messy as hell and awesome if your a fan of Bast's grimier work.

It’s one of his more sought after pieces but his market seems to have slowed down a bit lately. Who knows, maybe it’s just a coincidence that a lot of his work has been offered up recently. I’m no expert but I’d say in the $2500-3kusd range. I can’t imagine you’d have a hard time selling this as they rarely come up. Actually, I don’t think I’ve even seen one for sale. Shoot me a PM if you decide to sell.

Bast's an interesting one. Collectors continue to collect. His originals regularly sell without even having shows. Yet he's apparently not so popular generally. Maybe his art isn't so pretty or easily digestible as other artists hyped on here.

Independent of level of hand finnishing I'd say in the 2,5 k usd range. There are those that are more heavily stained and signed with both marker and pencil.
Good luck in your search, mine is a keeper. Actually my first "street art" print bought some nine years ago. Time flies...

Very hard to say at the moment. There doesn't seem to be much interest for Bast prints, but I think Crazy Mickey and Pizzoli should sell easily... Not sure of price though.
