As shown by the lack of interest in "You Should Know I Know" at ยฃ7,000. Those things used to sell at ยฃ20K+...I thought I did well buying one for ยฃ7,500 six months ago...
Whoever didn't let their Kaws "Presenting the Past" go at ยฃ9,500 hammer probably should have taken the opportunity...I bought mine at public auction for less than that in late 2021...market has not gone up since then...

Great price for the buyer. Another one sold at chiswyck auctions a couple days ago for 3k ยฃ incl. buyers premium.
I hope all the flippers get burnt so they finally stop buying art for speculation and flipping for 1.5x. These small editions would be impossible to get on secondary if they would end up in the hands of collectors.

Agreed, some of the older inventory may indeed need to be updated far as pricing goes, but its all art that we do not mind having sit for even a few years. In it for the long run. And if some of these artists never recover, atleast the art is still enjoyable to look at
But yes, you are correct - we meant what the seller wouldโve netted. Some quick research around last sales on those two editions would show you that thats about where markets at with them anyways. We donโt mind waiting until the next auction to acquire, would just rather avoid all those fees if at all possible / cash out a forum member vs some random seller
