I'd been curious regarding what on earth the deal was with your volte-face in the two posts below, but now it all makes sense.
I'm on the hunt for some Banksy street pieces. Rats and chimps would be ideal. As I'm expecting to get street pieces I'm aware they don't come with pest control so this will be done all in good faith. Please inbox me. As much as I hate to link the daily mail it doesn't seem to have been covered anywhere else yet... link
As much as I would love it hanging in my own home, I really disagree with ripping street art off walls to then be sold in auctions. It was done on the street and it should stay on the street. Real shame.

And, let us not forget, it's now also your job to encourage the continued removal of Banksy pieces from the street โ which you and others carry out quite effectively by offering bounties.
One of my armchair-philosopher friends would say, "Do what you feel you must do." Although he'd say the same if speaking to a bailiff.
In any event, my interest in psychology is just as strong as my passion for art. With cognitive dissonance being such a bรญtch, I see the ability to rationalise as a godsend for mankind. Especially for people with an inclination to be hypocritical or disingenuous. Or those looking for an excuse to discard former principles which have become inconvenient and, given their aspirational lifestyles, too expensive to maintain.
If you granted me enough time, through my own powers of rationalisation, I'm pretty sure I could present a convincing argument that cowardice is actually a virtue.
