A mate of mine was in a group show with him a while back so i've followed him since then. I've used photoshop since version 2 so the whole digital thing leaves me cold personally, and I think this particular style will date really quickly. I can see the appeal of many of his images though, very wall friendly and his Leia and Kates are great, I like the new Twiggy too, no doubt he's got skills but just not my cuppa.

I thought the photoshop comments were joking, but I guess that might be true. Anyone know what an Original looks like, and if these are real Originals created from Digital art then wouldnt they need to be done the same way digitial photographs are done. Meaning editions for 3-8 for an image that can be still called an original and not an edition.
Second question if they are digital where did the Reference Images come from.

He has released screen prints and giclee prints.
"Originals" can be hand finished Giclee on canvas then hand embellished with various media but some are Oil on canvas (like the british branded R2D2's)
The work can be diverse and interesting with incredible attention to detail. My personal favorite is the first one I purchased "Wizard of Oz" which is not a particularly rare or valuable piece of his work (and I own a few way rarer and more valuable pieces of his work) but the way it has been done and the references to many other subjects I find just captivating.
I realize that haters are gonna hate, but I am taken in by the work (rightly or wrongly).

While his work isn't personally to my taste, it's good to see an artist being successful and people purchasing art that they enjoy. He comes across well and he seems nice.
I really dislike the way artists are written about and hyped (there's that word again) these days though. Just show the work. I don't want to know which celebrity has bought it, whether it's been auctioned alongside other masterpieces, if they're the next Banksy, or how much of a good investment it is. Just show the work.
This kind of gallery art speak is becoming endemic in the Urban Art scene (whatever that is).
