Lots of nice HF prints on ebay of his for 1200 or less sitting. Don't see much of a return after re shipping and paying ebay fees for flippers on his stuff. |

Well I guess to be fair on this revisit, he apparently added transparent black shadows and overlays to improve the quality of the image. So at least it isn't a straight reprint with the colors changed..

With that said he does seem to produce more and more prints with shorter intervals in between. If I owed the original Dude print I would probably be a little pissed at the re-release.
It seems like he releases a print edition ever 3 months for roughly 4 releases a year. This is aside from the relatively new winter archive sales, where he releases some 1/1 prints, extra A/P's and other back stock. Not to be confused or put in the same category as 1XRun's bi-weekly archive sales.
As someone who missed out on the pervious release of Dude I would love to grab this one at cost. With that said he does seem to produce more and more prints with shorter intervals in between. If I owed the original Dude print I would probably be a little pissed at the re-release. It seems like he releases a print edition ever 3 months for roughly 4 releases a year. I am not one of them. Its called being smart. Plus, his "landscape" new-ish prints are not my cup of tea. Burn, Blot, Dude were his best imo. As a collector of all of those YES. I am pissed as well about this reprint. Changing the color and trying to tell me that makes it ok is silly. Tell that to people who bought the original image or had to spend much more then cost on an image they "THOUGHT" was an edition of 100. Not hard to make diff images. Problem is, Pose has seemed to go away from what made him so popular. Hence why he keeps trying to sell the reprinted images of what was his most popular selling images to date. Just more proof.

Also, what made him popular with print buyers before might not be sustainable. He needs to do what makes him popular to people who buy originals. You seem upset because you don't like the direction he's going in. That happens sometimes, it's just how art is. Both eBay sales were in USA , these prints are in the uk. So as I said above tax plus postage would be added, Increasing the prices you stated. Also they have ended / sold so no longer available if you wished to buy one. The cheapest on there now is £375 plus the tax and postage, taking the cost to over £500. Or you can by from a gallery for £900 last time I checked.
I’m open to offers so if you’d prefer to buy one from the uk rather than USA make an offer.
As long as it covers my costs I’m happy to let it go.
Any way I’ve got bigger fish to fry , can’t waste my time arguing over £100 or so with some body who doesn’t want it.

Let’s say you’re right. The seller still has to pay fees on eBay. Your pricing is too high but maybe you will find a couple suckers. Pretty crappy attitude btw. My crap attitude stems from people like yourself jumping on threads that you have no concern in........ ........... I think when you come onto a forum such as this to sell it is fair game. I will do the same and appreciate when others do as well. Looking out for other members being gouged. I totally understand wanting to sell at a price that covers cost and maybe to ensure it does not go to another flipper. But when the market is showing otherwise and someone calls that out..... fair game to do so here especially when from someone who wanted that piece and missed out due to a flipper. |
