PB for Power to the Sheeple, by ecomwizard on May 5, 2015 18:49:05 GMT 1, Hey Everyone,
I'm a huge Mau Mau fan, finally got my hands on a Paint Bomb!
Unfortunately I am from Canada and cannot attend the show at the Westbank in London.
If anyone from the forum is going any chance you can pick me up a show card, poster or PB a print for me?
I'd really appreciate it and would pay back the favour $
Thanks! Brian

PB for Power to the Sheeple, by ecomwizard on May 26, 2015 2:42:11 GMT 1, Hey Everyone,
I have to give an update on this thread as I am so excited it's hard to contain myself.
As you may have seen above, Forum Guardian "11" came to my rescue when I put the word out looking for a PB to the most recent Mau Mau show in London. I am a huge fan but of course could not make the trip from Toronto to the UK to be there. He was going and would check out the show and try to get a piece if he could for me.
In the days leading up to the show 11 and I kept in touch. The day finally came and 11 got a hold of the PDF with all of Mau Mau's art for the show. I don't have a ton of $$ but I had my sights on a Wolf in Sheeple's Clothing red party sign. When 11 got to the show just about every piece was sold out including the Wolf in Sheeple's Clothing. It was a mighty blow to my hopes of bagging an original Mau Mau. Then I got a call from 11 about 15 minutes later saying he had found a couple of originals on cardboard (how street!). He sent me a photo and I was instantly in love, a Wolf in Sheeple's Clothing!! He grabbed it and got it signed by Mau Mau, the man himself!! Look at this photo of Mau Mau holding the piece.
From what I've heard 11 had quite the night, partied it up with a couple other forum members then at the end of the night had to stagger all across London with my piece under his arm. The next day after his recovery he sent me lots more detailed photos. I was so trilled to get my first original from one of my favorite artists!
Skipping ahead to today, the package arrives and its packed with goodies!! A wack load of Mau Mau stickers! A Moustache Man clipping!! A signed show program!!
....and a special gift from 11 and the UK itself, an original Mau Mau doodle on a note!
SO AMAZING!! There aren't even words.
I am so grateful to 11 for making a true Mau Mau art fan absolutely thrilled and being a true Forum Guardian. The entire time I felt like I was at the show, checking out the art and picking a gem for my wall, all the way from Canada.
I cannot believe the generosity of the forum members here, each one I have met or sent messages back and forth are all true gentlemen. I really appreciate the community and support of all the art lovers here!
Next stop, the framers!
THANK YOU 11 (11)! Brian

PB for Power to the Sheeple, by 11 on May 27, 2015 22:31:45 GMT 1, Next stop, the framers! THANK YOU 11 ( 11)! Brian Hey Brian - Sorry I didn't acknowledge this straight away - was a bit humbled & embarrassed really but just wanted to say it was a pleasure to do something for a true fan (as was apparent in our exchanges) - and made it worth the extra effort
I don't think I previously said but, your piece was about 30 seconds away from becoming my blanket for the night - fortunately the guard held the last train while I zig-zagged down the platform.
But what a night
And there really is no other place like this - we have our moments but beneath it all are the best set of forum members anywhere
