can someone please tell me how I can cancel a bid on eBay? Pressed a wrong number by mistake and could end up paying way too much for something!!

Cancel an eBay bid?, by arcam on Feb 24, 2008 21:24:57 GMT 1, Go to help.........search 'Retract bid'.....click on link telling you how to and it'll open up a form. You enter listing number and choose reason from drop down menu.

bidding on something and put low amount in ...ie £2 and then checking back it says your maximum bid is £10? typed correctly in but contacted ebay as it has happened few times and not to sure if there is new software out forcing price to go up or general mistake by ebay....was little worrying tell the truth...
agree to the above if you make mistake when typing can be retracted also contact the seller and explain to them and they can reset the bid aswell... hope goes well and good luck on the item!...s

Never had this happen to me, seems rather odd!

Seller was pissed off at me but cool in the end... it happens....
