Eelus • Where They'll Never Find Us, by South Bound on Jun 29, 2015 1:22:23 GMT 1, Does anyone know if Eelus did an edition of his paper cut "Been here since forever" or "The Thing"? Bit late in finding out about this but would love to bag one. I feel pretty confident that "The Thing" was removed from his site but never sold out. Send Eelus an email, he is very good about replying and I know that he does have a few of his older prints on hand and is willing to sell

Thanks ruggs - just checked and unfortunately it's the standard print rather than the 3D layered image.

Eelus • Where They'll Never Find Us, by pokodogo on Jun 29, 2015 18:01:41 GMT 1, As I said at the top of the thread maybe art republic / E are playing this one well...... the editions (225 & 10), anyone that misses out gets to grab a PP.
Thats why there has been no edition size published, if this is the case it should stop potential 'FLIPPERS' getting involved as anyone who has signed up will get the print in some shape or form and if they do the secondary market value would be very much near the original price......
Obviously I have no inside knowledge but i do think this would be a more than fair way to distribute what seems a much wanted print.

Eelus • Where They'll Never Find Us, by pokodogo on Jun 29, 2015 18:10:07 GMT 1, agreed but the key to that is the demand wont be as high as people who are buying to sell on the secondary market wont get involved .......
a PP run of 500 ... meaning 725 + 10 HF + PP + AP = say 800.
Kinda makes sense to me, and guarentees that Lee get the maximum return deserved for yet another great print and not some chancers who buy to sell.
Im sure all will be revealed 2mor!

The PP is £50 more than the regular one, so the edition is going to be smaller, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it. How much smaller???

Is the concensus thought that somehow Art Republic will slowly bleed some part of the edition at secondary pricing?

Eelus • Where They'll Never Find Us, by Dibbs 45 on Jun 29, 2015 18:50:21 GMT 1, I have never heard Printers Proofs being more than any other edition. PPs are similar to APs small editions, well usually. I guess things have changed since last time I looked. I find it weird that artists are not numbering PPs. The buyer is never going to know how many there was. An undisclosed amount of PP will de-value the work investment wise for those are looking at it that way. Sure more people get the print and the artist gets more money, but this is still a bit strange.
