FS:DOLK CHIEF+ BALACLAVA , by FЯ on May 23, 2015 18:37:20 GMT 1, I honestly question whether anyone who engages in emotional user-to-user arguments in public threads - or posts PMs (regardless of reason) - should be a Forum Guardian. Forum Guardians are essentially brand ambassadors for UAA, and both of the above activities harm the integrity of the forum. For what it's worth, I don't think I should be a Forum Guardian either. Not trying to pitchfork; seems like this should be self-evident. Please view this as a general statement not directed at any individual Forum Guardian, but rather to all as a group. Guardians are just members with own opinions. Nothing wrong with calling someone out who is not playing cricket.

FS:DOLK CHIEF+ BALACLAVA , by Wilson on May 23, 2015 18:47:46 GMT 1, Perhaps we could also remember that forum guardians don't get paid and try and do the best for the community. Hell they don't even have an office party. Whilst maybe it wasn't right to post PM's why can't we just let it rest. I am sure both parties are sick to death of this thread. This is after all a squabble about a sale price and this happens on a regular basis.

FS:DOLK CHIEF+ BALACLAVA , by Deleted on May 23, 2015 18:48:45 GMT 1, This is just silly.... I'm Out boys... The way people react, act, comment, answer, post, start discussions is just a bit hostile.... (talking about the general feeling i get when browsing the forum). You lot need to stop, take a beer, get laid, smoke something, start painting yourself, start playing cricket... whatever! But chill the F down.
Cheers!

FS:DOLK CHIEF+ BALACLAVA , by Liverpool ste123 on May 23, 2015 18:51:51 GMT 1, The problem IS members jumping on a bandwagon with inflammatory comments.
Half the time they don't even know what the situation is!
The type of people who see a riot & pick up a brick 'just to join in'...
Carry on, if no one has the gall or maturity to PM myself or the OP to find out the actual facts - of a broken down deal, no theft or murder occurred here remember, then you are part and parcel of why the forum is out of kilter.
The thread should be locked IMO, as the pitch forks will be brought out for yet another public execution in a few days.

Haha I know everyone's a person; just seems like people with extra responsibilities and power should be held to a higher standard than the average member, otherwise it seems like they were arbitrarily appointed. Not worth going into specifics here.
You, for example, have a very well-mannered way of engaging in debates with other users and it rarely, if ever, becomes what I'd call "inflammatory" (at least not on your end). That's the kind of diplomatic skill set I feel like most Forum Guardians should have, even when personal things come into play.
But yeah, thread should probably be closed.

FS:DOLK CHIEF+ BALACLAVA , by trapnel1 on May 23, 2015 19:10:15 GMT 1, I've been following this thread, and tend to agree it would be better locked since it seems unlikely to get any more positive. Problems are always best sorted out by PM, and PMs shouldn't be posted.
I think that guardians are trying to do their best here to keep it positive, and hopefully most members realise that. None of us is perfect and everyone makes mistakes sometimes - so please PM with any constructive comments!
And with that I am going to try to lock this thread......
