Banksy, Lyme Regis, by lha on Jul 1, 2015 17:39:48 GMT 1, Down in Dorset today so had to go take a look at the Banksy in Lyme Regis, thought I'd stick an update on here with a couple of pics. Great to see it in situ again looking weathered and faded by the elements as it should be. One of my favourite Banksy street pieces, seen it a fair few times since it went up.
Had the bizarre good fortune to stumble upon it the day after it was posted on the forum by Fragile when the location was still unknown back in January 2012. Nearly jumped out my skin to look up and see it in all its glory on the wall as I was taking in my surroundings, magic! Great piece. Sorry for crappy phone pics

make sure you go to cargo club in the day and check out the 2 banksys there. Hmv and security with poodle in front of legal graff sign. Happy chopper resides on the takeaway roof at the end of the road also. Kinda hard to see. And the huge covering at the back of the foundry, also on that round is covering the biggest rat he did in London and the tv comin out the broken window. In perfect condition. But not visable sadly.

Head over to Bristol by train from London - about one hour forty minutes or so. There's plenty of Banksy street pieces to be seen in Bristol. Also a permanent piece in both the museum and Mshed. And if you really want to see the Piece in Lyme Regus then you can get a train from Bristol to Axminster, which is the nearest train station, then a bus to Lyme Regis. You'd probably need an overnight stay though in Bristol and Lyme. But great to do if you have the time and money

With the help of forum members, found the Banksy pieces in Bristol, a top day out, particularly the piece of The Thekla in the Shed Museum. Would also recommend the Cargo Club, stumbled over the Banksy pieces there (and the Eine outside) on a night out, think I also stumbled over the kerb on my way out, the cider was to blame for that.
