Brown Acid Free Paper?, by psycho666 on Jul 14, 2015 13:50:51 GMT 1, Can anyone help with what is the best paper to roll or store a print in when sending?
Usually the prints I receive come rolled in brown paper, which I assume is acid free?
When I Google search for acid free paper I can only find white paper.
Should I be searching or asking for something different?
Many thanks,
Psycho666

I buy acid free white tissue paper from Hobbycraft. It's about £1 for 10 or so sheets. Used generously, it works a treat.

Brown Acid Free Paper?, by .dappy on Jul 14, 2015 14:21:03 GMT 1, ... I would not assume ... kraft paper is used for protection in transport, it won't affect the print unless left for a long time ...
as coach says for storing use acid free tissue paper ...
... if you are in London/ now off Old St I use:
www.atlantisart.co.uk/
(they do offer an online service)

I look at picking up some acid free tissue paper, which should be fine for storing and for sending... maybe with a few sheets for protection.
Cheers,

Kraft paper should only be used for extra protection when shipping it a piece. It helps protect a print but is not advisable to be touching a print long term.
Best to use acid free tissue paper when in direct contact with a print.

Indeed. As mentioned earlier, about £1 from hobbycraft. But it's 5 sheets not 10. Acid free.

I managed to picked up a pack of 10 sheets (50 x 75cm) "acid free + bleed resistant" for £1.49 from a local stationery shop.
