One of these friends, a bumpkin living more than 50 miles outside London ordered one later that day. He received his a couple of days later, I got the dreaded email on 7th Jan. Turned out the one they shipped was unsigned.
Yes - complete jokers. I did get a refund but put in a complaint about lack of comms, poor customer service etc. Never even acknowledged it. I get mistakes happen, particularly in relation to stock on items that are sought after, but a big company like Phaidon should at least have some regard to customer experience when things go wrong 🙁

They don't respond to emails...
Trying to find out who signed for my purchase. ... Left 'in the porch' where photos show otherwise.
Did anyone need to sign for their book when it was delivered? I can't understand why any company would use a DPD service that didn't require a signature!
