BANKSY "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by 11 on Aug 22, 2015 21:53:07 GMT 1, Well I had a blast last night. The whole event was top drawer from the grumpy staff to the fabulous Cinderella's Castle. Completely surreal and impossible to describe the experience. Just brilliant. The Grim Reaper at NYC "Better Out Than In" was sublime so for me it was incredible to see it at WSM. The Bee Gees sound track was a nice twist as opposed to "Don't Fear The Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult. I cannot even start to imagine the work that went into this event to pull this off but hats off to the whole team. As for the people I met well it really was the icing on the cake to meet you guys. You know who you are. Each and everyone of your are stars and made my day. It was a very great pleasure to finally meet the legend that is Harveyn!!

I saw a Minnie but not mickey, and not Mr B anyway
Maybe if people went and experienced the show rather than prejudging from behind a keyboard then you'll see it is Dismaland and not Disneyland as you seem to have decided based on a few photos.
If your not interested or it bores you, move along and don't look into the camera

This was about 1.30pm when they just quickly stuck it on a window in the gift shop (you can see the Somerset watermark). Reckon they will drop a few at a time over the next few days as they only had about 10-15 in a box when I got mine and that was straight away. (sorry it is not rotated!) 
Whoever has used this photo on the following ebay listing, could you please REMOVE it. If you are just flipping the print, I do not care, but as you are selling a stolen duck from the show I take exception. Really winds me up when people steal something that is there for other people to enjoy and then try to profit from it.

Should be no surprise. Jonathan Jones considers Banksy's art as the "philistines" getting their revenge. I largely enjoy reading his reviews, whilst acknowledging that he's just a critic.

They were still selling at gone midnight last night then went to the after-show party so no doubt felt just as rotten as the rest of us this morning, as well as the shelves looking like a complete bomb-site too was a very easy mistake to make.
I loved the Dismal experience - that in itself was a work of art. The staff were excellent, first class and even if you tried to complement them on their dismal attitude you were met with utter contempt and sometimes a small bit of abuse - I asked for a couple of extra maps...the guy in a very exasperated way huffed, muttered FFS and threw two on the floor - not even in my direction.
The cruel bus was broken and was closed - i enquired and the lady just replied (verbatim) 'well if they had spent a bit of fucking time and effort doing it properly in the first place there wouldn't be a problem - when you see the doors are open it will have been fixed, until then just fuck off and bother someone else'

We notice there was a few people at the ticket office so we popped over and got in. There were literally 10 people behind us before they closed the booth around 8:20pm. I would highly recommend going of a late evening as it was very quite and hardly any queue to get in. Really enjoyed the show and picked up a James Joyce print on the way out, just a shame the other artists didn't have anything available to buy. Really super evening.
