Leave your camera at home and look with you eyes, not a lense. If it hasn't been photographed by 10000 people already, then it probably wasn't worth documenting.

Jones did not even review the fifty plus artists exhibiting.
Not one mention of their names or their art.
Maybe he was too eager to get away from the nether regions of England and scared in case he got lost and surrounded by feral chavs who mistake his posh voice for some sort of foreign invader.
Not one mention of Hirsts big floaty ball or any of the other artists who Jones could interpret as meaningful.
Amazing also that Guardian is very left wing that Jones does not take advantage of how run down seaside towns are.

He just dislikes Banksy because he's not a "proper" painter. His work isn't complicated enough. Not elitist enough. And the way his article doesn't mention the other artists is pretty pathetic. But I have to say, he's not alone in that regard. A lot of the media are focussing on Banksy and neglecting the other artists.
Also I will add that Jones comes across as a very bitter tit.

In the painting, Sir Nicholas Serota Makes An Acquisitions Decision, the Tate boss asks: "Is it a genuine Emin (£10,000) or a worthless fake?" The work is valued at £30,000. www.standard.co.uk/arts/modern-art-is-pants-7080923.html

BANKSY "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by kobron on Aug 23, 2015 16:56:48 GMT 1, Nice piece in the Sunday Times by Waldemar Januszczak "It adds up to an experience that keeps pummelling you with surprises". The shenanigans began a couple of months ago when my phone started to fill up with messages to phone Jo Brooks. Oh no, I thought. The trouble with Brooks is that she does the press for Banksy, Britain’s most cunning and manipulative street artist. When Brooks leaves messages on your phone you know you are going to be cunningly manipulated. And so it turned out.
A few days later, I was at the degree show at the Royal College of Art when the phone rang and I absentmindedly punched the green button. “Waldemar. It’s Jo. You’ll never guess what Banksy is going to do. It’s going to be the biggest thing he’s ever done. A-mazing, Waldemar. A-mazing.”
“What is it, Jo?” www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/news/focus/article1597133.ece -------------------------- Thanks Harveyn... -to see full article you subscribe ...

BANKSY "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by European Bob on Aug 23, 2015 20:46:31 GMT 1, I was fortunate enough to get into the preview night and I was like a kid in a candy shop! The whole experience was simply amazing. I was just taken aback by whole atmosphere; the employees, the music, the scale and every single detail was just outstanding! There was just so much to take in and my attention was grabbed every time I turned around! It was a great evening and one that I won't forget! Just wish that drive wasn't so long.
I have updated my ig (@european_bob) with some vids/pics and will be updating when I can. I know theres so many pics out there already.

Not sure where we are on spoilers but as a video you have to click it to play so am fairly comfortable to leave it here until I've caught up on the proper place to put it
It is the Grim Reaper in full - so if you are avoiding pictures then don't click it - for the rest enjoy.

BANKSY "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by Black Apple Art on Aug 24, 2015 0:01:28 GMT 1,
Someone did say today they had a couple of weeks drama training to help them maintain character perhaps we should have a thread dedicated to the dismal customer service - quotes & examples of such. I think it would turn into quite a funny read as more and more share their stories I think that's a great idea. That way, we could highlight individual staff that have gone above and beyond to help make people's time there extra dismal.
There are so many brilliantl dismal performances I can recall but my absolute favorite was being at the upstairs bar with a few people around a table. We had finished most of our drinks so there were several empty cups from us and others left. One of the attendants walked over, asked if we were done and after we said yes they looked over the cups, reached across and swept the table with their arm and knocked all to the floor, then turned and kicked a few as they left. Doesn't get much better than that.

BANKSY "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by 11 on Aug 24, 2015 0:27:18 GMT 1, Thought about it a bit more and decided we definitely need to record all the different Dismal experiences - not the artwork or the fair but the behaviour and attitudes of the staff - especially those that should be honoured for going above and beyond to deliver a truly dismal experience
Maybe even finish up with a little vote for the best story and the best staff members
EDIT : I moved BAA's post over and from a timing perspective means it's at the top
Sorry for the confusion
