How long should I queue for in advance of 7pm to get good access pre crowds. I want to see the main exhibition tent before the queues start… should I go straight there first? Any other things to see as soon as possible after getting in?

I went to last nights evening session. Got there at approx. 1800 and there were around 50 in the queue, so went over the road to grab some food. By the time we got out - 1830 ish there were around 400 or so. That said the queue looked large but it moved quickly and we were in by 1930 and have plenty of time to look around. We had our tickets scanned, and then they asked our names!! even inside the queues move fast, main exhibition tent was 15 mins max. Grin Reaper comes alive at 15 mins past every hour (min 00, 15,45 ect) worth waiting to see that. You will have loads of time, relax and suck it all in.

I was planning to go for my birthday which is the 31, but after calculating all the costs, it looks like I won't be able to go. Travel from france and lodging combined make it too much for me, super gutted. I wanted a Dismal bday, now it looks like it will be even more dismal than expected... I haven't given up completely yet, but if I manage to transfer the tickets to someone at cost, it might help alleviate my pain... Please PM if interested, but please don't be surprised if I have a hard time letting them go, I'm still looking for ways to get there as cheap as possible. PS. anyone from Paris heading over there this week end?

I don't think so, but it kinda depends on the sensibilities of the kid. Some might not like the floating miniatire bodies in the boat pool. Some might be frightened of the reaper on the dodgem. Few swear words. Can't think of anything else.

I will follow up if I have any extras that don't go to friends. Flying in from Dubai overnight tomorrow night, then drive to the closest affordable hotel to the site. Super excited to be going. Amusement and Theme Parks are my career and lifelong interest. The colliding of street art with them is a dream come true. Your not 'the theme park guy' are you??

All are good with the added bonus that you might get John Nation as your guide. This also a good tour of the city as well? Never been to Bristol and with two planned trips to Dismaland another few hours of just streetart might be overkill?
It's a walking tour so you will see some of the best and some of the less salubrious parts. It is a street art tour though.
