Dran Posters for sale..., by met on Aug 8, 2015 18:19:31 GMT 1, I need to make room in my portfolio, and have these wonderful Dran posters. Im not sure of the value, but I know they are at least 5 years old. They are not signed or numbered 24 x 36, quality paper. I would like to sell as a set. Thanks for looking! [...] [...] Despicable behaviour by Dran for biting another artist's idea. He should hang his head in shame. The above is clearly a blatant copy of Kunstrasen's Spot Remover.
Granted, Dran improved upon Kunstrasen's concept by incorporating a Pollock-style drip and splatter canvas instead of a spot painting โ so that the female cleaner's confusion and error (and by extension the work as a whole) now actually makes sense. But it's still no excuse for ripping off a fellow artist.
This reflects poorly, not just on Dran and his extended family, but on the entire nation of France.

Well at least I laughed reading that. So Dran in 2012 just copied a kunstrasen's made in 2014. Vive La France, they created the perfect time machine!

This is deep! Shame on Dran and his family obviously!? Got sucked in reading this and nearly burnt my french passport, but then started to laugh! So much energy wanted in writing this! A quick search on Expresso Beans could have saved the embarrassment!

A quick search on Expresso Beans could have saved the embarrassment! laurentbaboo โ Rather than weep in response, I am taking comfort in my continued ability to be genuinely surprised by people. I believe this is a good thing, similar to my still-lingering capacity for enthusiasm and, at times, even moderate excitement. Surely it must mean that I'm still alive.
I'd offer a French translation of my original comment if I thought this would assist, but I fear your interpretation of it would remain the same. Despite our shared linguistic and cultural backgrounds, a notable barrier regrettably still divides us. It appears to be one of sensibilities.
For most readers, I'm confident the combined absurdity and tone of faux hysteria of my post were more than sufficient to effectively convey my position. As for the other readers, I am happy just to let them be. Whenever tempted to elaborate on such matters, I try to remind myself of an old E.B. White quote about dissecting a frog. [Or, if you prefer, see the paraphrased version given by Andrรฉ Maurois in 1960 when he spoke at La Maison Franรงaise at New York University.]
A wonderful fact, however, is that new experiences and new encounters do have the potential to bridge our current impasse. On the basis of nationality alone, I'm unable to separate people with whom I generally share an affinity, from those with whom I do not. If trying to predict in advance which camp a stranger will more likely fall into, a far more accurate test for me is to find out whether or not that person travels.
So please continue to resist burning your French passport.
Although I'm prone to the occasional world-weary sigh, I remain an optimist. All is far from lost, and we too may one day find ourselves on the same page.
