Your an ass for trying to rape us like that. Its 16" x 12" It will never sell. If you want auction prices, take it to auction(sothebys, Christies, Bonhams).

Nick Walker Original On Ebay Now, by horseandhound on Mar 8, 2008 15:32:15 GMT 1, Just to make it clear, I bought this before the bonhams show to stick on my wall. By chance the value went up, why cant you just say good luck to that bloke, lucky him. You are all pretty damn sad, if i dont get the price i want i just wont sell it. Its bogus ethics on your behalf, go worry about something that matters, you sad middle aged men, send some time with your kids, or try go get laid, instead of staring at fucking prints all day. If you really gave a shit about art, then owning it would not matter, printing out a banksy and sticking on the wall should give you the same pleasure.

Nick Walker Original On Ebay Now, by mred on Mar 8, 2008 17:50:59 GMT 1, Hi Horseandhound, I have been watching this thread develop although until now have not commented. I am probably one of those sad middle aged people you are referring to although have not got any kids so you do not need to worry about me not spend time with them.
I do for one feel you, along with quite a few others some who have posted on this thread, are being a little opportunist and feel the price you are asking for this piece is totally inflated even taking into account the Bonham and LA affect. I for one would be shocked if you got Price you are asking but if you do you will be a very lucky and rich person.
My only bitch with people banding these massively inflated prices is not so much with canvases as to be honest my feeling they are not selling as prices are way outside most normal peoples budget but with prints. Too many people are IMHO falling for the hype and have the money to pay very high prices for some of the prints especially the TMAs. This means I for one no longer am able to buy Nick's work as demand means it is now impossible to get one on primary market and secondary market is outside my price range. Maybe if there is a price correction I will be able to buy them again in the future, if not then the future for me will be new or less popular artists which is not all bad.
I will watch this item with interest, as I am sure will many others.

Nick Walker Original On Ebay Now, by horseandhound on Mar 8, 2008 20:29:35 GMT 1, Mred, I appreciate your honesty, I dont think it is fair that I am being cruxified for crimes against humanity. I feel for you, as nick walker is a brilliant artist, and at the time I bought the canvas for a good price. However, Seths last show for example was brilliant, and there was a lot of affordable works of art avaliable, which were unique. So there is hope for those who feel like they are missing out on buying art. But if all these "haters" love nick walker so much, why have not bought stuff in the past when it was very undervalued, it seems like they are just upset that they have missed the boat financially!!
In regards to people saying I should be banned from Seth's gallery and locked up.. Seth runs a bussiness, I have bought further artworks from Seth and will continue to do so as long as he keeps up the cracking shows! That makes great financial sense to ban a buyer who will keep buying "unknowns" which he likes to put up on the wall.
Finally, If your that bothered about prices going up, and as your a member of this forum, why are you not directing your anger at Steve Laz in regards to banksy. He bought three of banksy artworks in the past at auction, pushing up prices to this level. Its not like Banksy is complaining really is it, getting hundred of thousands for his artwork. On that point, Nick Walker a decent human being, getting paid for all the years of hardwork in his future exhibitions. Then again, whoever has bought a Banksy print, has benifited from Steve Laz's shady buying techniques as they have made money for doing jack all. All those who own a nick walker print, better hope it my vandal sells as it will reprice your art, making you money doing absolutely jack.
Mred, the morning after image is great, ask a friend to colour copy you one, whack it in a frame and you will get all the viewing utility from it, saving you from this prices, allowing you to reward new equally talented artists.

Nick Walker Original On Ebay Now, by mred on Mar 8, 2008 21:15:13 GMT 1, Hi Horseandhound, I for one are not crucifying you for crimes against humanity, if I am complaining I think it is because I do not believe the price you are asking is realistic but by asking it it is encouraging other people to simply buy Nick's work to turn a quick profit. No law against it but it does leave a bit of a bad taste in my month as it is now proving almost impossible to get a print on primary market. Same as with Banksy although recently I have not been drawn to any of his prints unlike Nick's works.
I am lucky enough to have been a fan of Nick's work for a while so have a few of his pieces already and on a financial level the Bonham /LA affect has been positive however I never brought Nick's work for profit so have no intention to sell so fact on paper worth a few quid more not an issue to me.
Thought about going colour print route but to be honest I have too much respect for Nick to start riping his pieces off in that way. Personally I am going along route of finding new / less prominent artists and to be honest have been very lucky recently with Mau Mau print and canvas, Ripper canvas, K-Guy prints and SQPR canvas to name drop a few.
Whether galleries black list you or not is choice for them, I suppose with popular artist they might but with new artists cannot imagine them doing it for one minute as they are in the selling game and if you want to buy they are not going to stop you.
As I said previously will keep an eye on how this one goes, if you are lucky and get the price what are you planning to spend your windfall on if you do not mind me asking. Mau Mau for on is producing some awesome work at present and seems on the up.
