This artwork is part of Steve Locatelli's 2nd solo-show at Original Dampring Gallery in Amsterdam.
The show is on display from 18.07. - 06.09.2015 and open for public from Wednesday till Sunday between 11:00 and 19:00. You can find the gallery in the center of Amsterdam - Singel 395!

Steve produced a whole new series of his amazing skull artwork. The gallery opening was packed with people, a special guest aka Evidence of Dilated Peoples payed a visit and feedback and reviews are more than satisfying!

About the exhibition

The skull is one of a number of recurring motifs, not only in Locatelli’s work, but also in general in art history. The technique applied is simple, but the outcome implies complex ideas about mortality and the realizations of mankind.

The results are compelling, being celebratory and seductive. Each skull is unique! The skull simply symbolizes change, rather than death or danger. It is seen as protection, strength, power and indicates the end of a difficult period. The skulls rays mainly from power by their bright colors and radiates positive energy on the artwork.
