I hear wot your saying! I too used to enjoy reading and contributing to threads when Art was being discussed and I also agree that this forum has become a little boring due to certain new angles this forum has inherited, but nothing has bored me more than the continuous moaning from members because the 'Street Art Scene' "isn't what it used to be". They seem to enjoy the fact that a print they bought several years ago for ยฃ35 they can now sell for 5K+, but seem to hate the fact that this scene has become money orientated! 
It not only bores me but confuses the f**k out of me.

Knowledge is great but in reality knowledge aint going to pay water rate, council tax, bt phone line is it.
But the next nick walker might, hate me or love me, im in it for the money but i have always stood by what someone always told me.

I waited to see if you would use that word, because as a collector myself I understand, accept and also as times embrace the fact there is a side to the Art scene that is MONEY! Any Collector that doesn't/cant accept the Business side to Art which lets face it, Come hand in hand and have done for centuries before 'Banksy' dont really have as much knowledge as they may think.
Take the Stock market, people dont buy shares just to have them, they also want profit. Its the same with 'Art', it is also a Market! Always has been!
I'm glad for you that you only have to worry about having the knowledge with very little worry of the money but some of us ain't that privileged.
When I say this forum will be a better place when people realize and accept Art is a business as well as a hobby (or just a business for some), I mean we dont have to keep going over the same boring s**t and get the threads filled with content of interest.
As for members moving to other forums because of the selling content in threads, who actually fills the forum with 3 page selling threads? not the sellers! Its the moany old green eyed members that are jam packing threads with boring messages of hate and jealousy, so some responsibility of the demise of this forum goes to them also.
