It would feel like a showroom more than a warm comfortable home. I have a friend who has similar tastes just on a smaller scale except he has these plastic covers on all the furniture. Different strokes and all of that. |

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz's Art-Filled Jersey Home, by darkcity on Apr 26, 2016 15:41:29 GMT 1, I wpukd have to say theres a catch 22 here swizz has akways been a patron of the arts and hasnt just jumped on the bandwagon like many celebrities or hip hop acts alike, ive met him and jose parla at Bryce Walkowitz gallery also bumped into him yrs earlier at Martin Lawrence gallery and he has always had a eye for art and has been proactive in promoting artists he seems to enjoy as well as working to see artists go from hiding under a rock to being known by those whom may not have otherwise realized they existed withoit a push in tbe right direction howecer the catch is although he i genuine as a collector and has a heart for it as in hes truky passionate oppossed to those who dont even know what there buying or why there buying it... Many can be named for that.. He has a tendancy to jump on anything and everything that is hot at the moment the second someone is hyped 5 mins later they a dean collection approved and having worked closely with a number of artists i find it in poor taste that a majority of his collection was "gifted" to him or given with to him for little to monetary exchange primarily becuase of tbe fact the the idea is if he hangs a piece or approves of it the PR so to speak or number of people that will see it outweighs any cash exchange, dont get me wrong i was at Mary boone when alicia boight him the wooden kaws sculpture edition of 3 as we got the 9 ft version of tbe same piece but i do know a lot of artists such as retne,connor,parla, kaws have all contributed free works for a collection that would cost most hundreds of thousands and now even millions but a board member of a measeum, its mostly all politics on some level regardless so i feel its a good fit at the end of the day seeing as how he is genuine is bringin art and artists to the community and for new art to be recognized snd realized by those who may attend the meusuem so a good fit. I think its more of campaign to benefit the mesuem but if thats what it takes then so be it, so long as ge doesn't over step and try to be a jeffery deitch of some sorts
