Was it more than the 20 quid? I think the link you had was for the signed ones but they have now sold out - you get a 404 if you try it now.
After the Foyles signing, Stik then signed a load more to leave for sale in the store - just the book and not the poster but believe he got through about 200.
Foyles had them in store and have intermittently popped them online too so would be fairly confident you did just bag a signed one

Stik Sleeping Baby, by Deleted on Sept 16, 2015 16:59:17 GMT 1, Fare enough. Maybe I am coming off agitated or yet maybe I am coming off sane. The fact that I DO NOT understand why this guy is praised for stick figure art is maybe the reason for this response. Can someone who does NOT collect this guys work tell me the obsession and paying these prices for his art? I would love to know WHY its so appealing other then it is "Kid friendly". If Stik's work did not have such a investment value would anyone hang this on there walls? I cant tell you how many times I have heard "His work looks great in my kids room on this forum. I am very interested in the other outlook. Truly am. Have to agree mostly to what you said - wasn't a fan in the past and lately, i 'tried to' convince myself to look at his works from an impartial point of view and appreciate it. Unfortunately, hard for me to understand the appeal even after trying. psychological needs deficit - Fear of missing out - totally obscures objective thought. Look at the Bornodo debacle - this board is a hypers paradise and some have been doing it for years whilst lying through their teeth about churning stuff repeatedly. if you genuinely like Stik, then fill your boots. if you think its going to make your money and you fear missing out, then you are the victim of manipulation and hysteria. Its a bit of paper with a drawing on it.

Mine brightens my day every time I look at it, and it's gets a ton of comments from people that come by. Probably the most out of any of the works I've got hanging.
It's ok if you don't get it, but claiming stik's popularity is based solely on fear of missing is a completely baseless statement.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by Deleted on Sept 16, 2015 17:35:08 GMT 1, Do we really have to have this debate everytime Stik releases a new print?
Let's talk about the print in question. I think it looks a lot like the homeless Stik work that was (is?) near Vyner Street and that's what I assumed it was before seeing the print name. Most Stik images including this one portray a vulnerability, which is reflected in the environment they're placed. In this case there's no getting away from the fact that the Homerton area could at best be described as having challenging needs. So, it works perfectly to express some of the fragility that many of the patients and possibly clinicians too will feel. ...And all that achieved in a few lines.

Totally agree. I'll be trying to get one but because I'm a big fan of stik. Sure I didn't know I was a fan until this thread but he's great isn't he? I mean look at how many people like him. He must be good. He's great. Hang on though....What if I don't get one?! Everyone else will bloody have one? And what will I have?! Nothing! Can't breath, can't breath....breath....breath....breath.
Anyway. Where was I. Oh yeah. Totally agree.

As I said, if anyone truly likes it. fill your boots. Seems fairly unequivocal to me

Everyone who comes over walks right past the Banksy and says something about Stik. It's just a lot of emotion conveyed with 6 black lines & some white paint.
