They are called Bayer Suite and are offset lithographs on glassine paper (a kind of thin tracing paper) and signed in the print. I picked them up on eBay back in 2004 as the auction had misspelt Haring (as Harring) for a few hundred pounds and Southerby's valued them back then at ยฃ1500, but I've always wondered about them and if they are considered 'proper' Haring's, what's the story about them and what they may be worth now? We love them and I think there were six in the set, but we only have four, but they look great together. They are dated 1982, so quite an early style of his and as I said signed in the print. I think from an edition of 70, but they are not numbered. If anyone has any info on them, i'd love to hear it.       
There were 70 un-numbered sets in total with printed signatures with an additional 5 sets signed in pencil by the artist for the directors of the company. Complete sets of these rarely come up for sale and are difficult to source in good condition. The glassine paper used is quite thin and tends to yellow and ripple a little with age.
Price wise, I would suggest ยฃ8-ยฃ10k for a full set in good condition with original frames is probably realistic given edition size. As has been mentioned elsewhere on this thread they do pop-up from time to time on ebay (mostly from German sellers).

I'm pleased to say that I have since managed to pick up the missing two, so we now have all six. We haven't got the original frames though and there is a slight colour difference between these four and the remaining two that we now have. But at least we have the whole set.
I'm looking forward to the framers opening again when I can get them all framed up properly.
Really nice to have these in the collection though. Love Haring and his work.

I love Haring stuff and am after the cheaper works due to my budget constraints, but as ever, I rarely pull the trigger on anything as there is no real provenance and I have no idea of telling fakes from reals.

There is a German seller that has a few for sale on Ebay, however looking at his past sales, it seems as if he has already sold a full set and about 3/4 others individually. I'm just a bit suspicious as to how they have so many, and the description does not seem to have any sort of provenance. I do think these would be more difficult to fake than say a print, subway drawing or poster, partly because of the translucent paper stock but also due to the frame and stickers on the back which came with the original prints.

A serigraph entitled KH86 unsigned and produced in 1989 in limited numbers, prior to the artists death after playboy magazine bought the works for publication and then decided since they owned it to make limited editions, which quickly resulted in a suit by the KH estate and the sale of these prints to be halted shortly after. Not many remaining these days but since I can't afford a signed work I am happy to have this part of history on my wall at home and I think it's a beautiful piece to own
