Banksy HMV Print, by South Bound on Mar 3, 2017 14:17:28 GMT 1, Classic bait and switch. Suck me in with one price then jack it up.
If you cannot stay on top of the current prices of one of the most popular artists in the world, is running an art gallery really your forte? Oh wait these were bs excuses to get more money from the less knowledgeable consumer.

Banksy HMV Print, by Rouen Cathedral on Mar 3, 2017 14:45:56 GMT 1, I just saw this thread! I didn't realise the sale of this Banksy print was a topic for discussion. In this particular case, I was selling the print for a client. I clearly slightly undervalued the print, and I had several people wanting to buy it. I would be doing my client a disservice by selling her print for less that it was worth, and without having agreed a sale with anyone I asked for higher offers. I had not made any agreements with anyone to sell the print to them. No-one put a deposit down on the print. I have not backed out of anything. My job is to get my client the best price for their print, and to safely deliver the print to the buyer at a price they're happy with. I'm not sure how it's anyone else's concern other than the person selling the print & the person buying the print. Maybe I made a mistake by raising the price rather than putting the print as POA (I don't think shopify can do this). But as I was speaking to a number of buyers already, and the print was still showing as available on the website. If someone had then come in and bought it for ยฃ18k it would have caused more problems. Anyway, I now have a sale agreed... the seller is happy, the buyer is happy, I am happy... so i'm not quite sure what everyone's getting their knickers in a twist about! XX
"Maybe I made a mistake" says a lot. Just admit you made a mistake.
So are you saying if someone had added it to cart and bought it at 18k you wouldn't have honored it?

Tried to buy a Banksy print via Prescription once. Paid full price that was advertised here and on his website. Got a refund later with "client want more". Lost on conversion.

333 bedrooms. Think palace of Versailles. I already sold it for 14 billion but I have no issue refunding him and changing the price. Lots of interest. Can you do 18 bill?

Banksy HMV Print, by Tommy Tucker on May 18, 2017 14:44:05 GMT 1, As with any sale of this type there will always be discussion about it. I think it is more than healthy for such a thing to happen.
I am going off the last auction result and the fact this has the red Banksy stamp and the other did not. More appealing in my opinion.

Banksy HMV Print, by Loobaz on May 18, 2017 15:24:47 GMT 1, I've said it before and I'll say it again auction doesn't equal private sale I've never understood the rationale that because a major auction house, with all of their advertising, and a wider, perhaps more wealthy audience (plus the perceived "security" of buying through an established outlet,) can achieve a sale, then a private sale should net the seller far more money than that auction could achieve for their seller...
But, I understand people are free to ask whatever they please for their things.

Last I checked B's demand is only increasing and supply hasn't for 7 years. Not sure where this print should be but to say the above seems more emotional than logical.
