I am looking for an app developer!, by UK Art Dealer on Oct 18, 2015 23:54:24 GMT 1, Hi guys,
Just thought it would be worth asking if anyone on here is an app developer? I am looking for one that knows how to build a simple app similar to a cash machine finder.
I have had some hideously large quotes off some uk agencies, and some unbelievably cheap ones off freelancers abroad.
Would be happy to give the work to someone on here at a sensible price. Apparently it is relatively straightforward for someone who knows what they're doing!

an app company will probably charge £30k for an app i would have thought which is about right. A freelancer who knows what they are doing is about £400 a day.

With regards to the agencies yes I have had quotes ranging from £10k to £30k but a mate of mine, who owns an agency said it is fairly simple, but he has massive overheads etc etc. Would be great to find someone on here/ a good recommendation of someone who would appreciate the job.

I am looking for an app developer!, by longshanks on Oct 19, 2015 9:01:50 GMT 1, FR speaks wisely, don't send it to India. You'll only end up abandoning the project and getting it re-done in the UK after, costing more than the largest UK quote in the first place.
The task may be simple, but don't underestimate the time that goes into an app, and all the variants - operating systems etc.

My idea although they bastardised it beyond my good original idea, their coding, my graphics. Went from a angry birds/ fragger, candy crush cross to a naff alien game (alien rescue force) Wasn't bad for a first game. Problem is marketing it. It has to be different with a USP. Just like a website, it could be the bees knees but no good if on page 10 of google. They have done a few apps now which technically are good but no one beyond friends and family have bought them.
I could get you a quote but the problem is you'd have to tell me what it is you need. Could get them to sign an NDA.
p.s. not Banksy related is it? I had a great idea for a Banksy related game but probably too niche. I've Been racking my brains for years in order to work for myself but never had a good enough idea. Have the business skill, marketing, websites, money etc just not that killer idea!
