Affordable Banksy, by joshy87 on Oct 22, 2015 9:46:16 GMT 1, Hi Guys,
I have recently started my own collection of art works and have picked up some great pieces without breaking the bank from various known and unknown artists. But Banksy was what got me in to all this years ago and I have always wanted a piece by Banksy but unfortunately don't have the thousands of pounds at my disposal to by any prints.
This got me looking at alternative options, I have since purchased a Di faced tenner (from someone on here) and more recently I have bought a couple of Records (Dangermouse Music) with the Laugh now image on them. These are numbered and limited to 1000 in each colorway (there are 4 I believe). I picked 2 up for £150 in mint condition and will have them framed. No they aren't signed and no COA etc but for that price you have an iconic Banksy image, which I think is great.
This got me thinking what else is there out there by Banksy other than expensive prints for people like me? I know of a few other records that use Banksy artwork but thought I would open this up for people to share their knowledge of other pieces or not and the risks associated as I know fake Banksy tenners for example are rife on ebay!
Relatively new to all this so apologies if a thread already exists
cheers

Nice thread,
When Banksy's website is back to normal. He does have downloadable images and says that you can print them for personal use. The resolution isn't bad so you could get some of those printed nicely. Not fakes, just not limited, signed etc

I hate to break it to you, but those record sleeves aren't anything to do with Banksy (his image, but totally unofficial)
What you want is the posters I think. Cans Festival, Barely Legal, Soup Cans (Litho version), Monkey Parliament, Tesco Petrol Bomb. Mostly available for a couple of hundred quid, and official. Just be wary of fakes.
Things very much faked are the Greenpeace Posters, and unfortunately Di Faced Tenners... endless supplies of them on eBay!
And get the Bristol Museum posters, still available direct from POW for £10! www.picturesonwalls.com/Books_Authors.asp?Author=Banksy

The "normal" Banksy website is up but not linked from the home page: www.banksy.co.uk/menu.asp
But the download section hasn't been there for a long time.

Ah, However, you can still access the old pages using web.archive.org
