I just thought it was the usigned one from POW that came in this version (no signed ones) And the signature looks a bit dodgy! :S

Faile, by Coach on Mar 15, 2008 18:28:09 GMT 1, hey whatson, no, they came signed too. ed of 150 signed. the signature is exactly the same as on my signed one, which i bought direst from pow. it is however completely dif to the signature on my macbeth, which is the swirly one, with a heart dotting the i.

Faile, by Martin Whatson on Mar 15, 2008 23:48:26 GMT 1, I have the unsigned one. Its lovely. Even tho it might have to make way for some other prints!! But then again. That and the captivating one where the two first prints I bought!
My reaction was the signature that looks nothing like what I have seen from faile before! Thanks for the clearup!

1. For a Faile probably at the very bottom of print quality 2. Flat "cut and paste" image 3. Total edition is huge for a Faile. Even with 150 signed. Most Failes are editions of 5-15 4. No custom
Dollar for dollar @this price one of the worst failes out there. Probably the worst. Imho of course

Faile, by alsbabar on Mar 16, 2008 1:14:21 GMT 1, Plenty of other Faile's with high print runs, Memento Mori being the most recent.
I like it, and in the flesh it is better and to be honest I have seen worse.

it's what it is. i agree it's no match for the ny low ed prints, and thats reflected in its price. but for anyone who cant afford £1k plus on the secondary market, and is unlucky on the direct sale print releases, its a nice print, and does look very nice in the flesh. i am happy with mine. of course, i would prefer a hand finished ed of 11, but there's lots of things i'd prefer. i wouldnt dismiss this piece out of hand. framed, it looks lovely.

Well the argument was that some people can't afford 1k for a faile print. At this price range you're not going to be buying to invest. Its all about quality and a 1 second signature should not enter the equation.

Faile, by alsbabar on Mar 16, 2008 1:59:10 GMT 1, well it does when it comes to cost, an unsigned print run of 90, for £300 or a signed earlier edition, which incidentally at the time included Aiko, for £260 with a print run of 150. Also given that signed Bunny Girls do not feature much on ebay - I know which one I would, if i had less than 1K to spend, I would go for - Bunny Girl everyday, why, because it represents a much steadier investment

agreed bobby, that wasnt my argument - my point was simply as per my last post. not really an argument, just an opinion. nuff said - respect your point of view mate.

If you can only spend £300 you're not an "investor" and should just buy the best piece out there to hang on the wall...

it might be worth only £300 today, but next year that same piece could be worth £3000 - so you are still an investor, just not a big one!!

for once i agree with alsabababr
bobbymeachm you're rather pompous aren't you? £300 isn't an investment? what about 10 prints a £300 a pop?
you're in the US right, how many 'normal' people there right now can spare $600+ without thinking? have a think on it and tone down your smug attitude
