Miaz Brothers ๐ฎ๐น Portrait Painters โข Roberto & Renato Miaz, by Global Art Traders on Nov 5, 2015 22:45:08 GMT 1, I think these prints are brilliant and a fantastic size that will look amazing on a feature wall. The fact they took a long time in coming means there has been a lot of love put into producing them. These are the prints of the year so far for me, good work LAZ! If yer gonna hype up production, probably best not to do it on a digital print. Why would I hype? I just happen to think these are great!
1. The size - great choice of size on these 2. Technique and style 3. Archival Pigment Print - this wouldn;t work on a screenprint 4. Although some don't like APP's - you would be surprised that these can be a lot harder to produce than you may think. Screen prints can actually be very simple sometimes - to get the tones right in APP is actually quite tough on certain prints, and i would guess these were pretty hard to get right.
I see the argument though, printmaking V printing!!

Miaz Brothers ๐ฎ๐น Portrait Painters โข Roberto & Renato Miaz, by Lroy on Nov 5, 2015 23:03:33 GMT 1, My opinion is that everybody - even me - is a bit hypocrite about art and himself : they, we, say that we like street art, murals, Rebels, etc .. , but in the deepest of our mind, we like classicism. This print is very classic in fact. And " street-artists " , try or like to copy classic painters. Sometimes it's great, as here ! I would like to know the opinion of banksy about this .. . Him, who critised art, to ... then... exposing art ! This ( other ) world is funny.

Anyway...moving along. Well they got it right i guess... The ebay listing is down and props to Laz! Release of the year for me :-) Did you get one?

Miaz Brothers ๐ฎ๐น Portrait Painters โข Roberto & Renato Miaz, by Deleted on Nov 6, 2015 14:39:29 GMT 1, No, a cancellation is not possible.
The E-Mail with the order confirmation makes the purchase contract valid (check Lazarides Terms & Conditions point 3.6 - they say it themselves: "3.6 If we accept your order we will confirm our acceptance by sending you a separate confirmation email ("Order Confirmation"). The Contract between us will only be formed when we send you the Order Confirmation." ), and suspicions of possible eBay resells are no reason at all to cancel the purchase contract by seller side.
Friend of mine had the same case with another gallery, they had to pay a compensation and hand him the ordered print.
I think they will get some legal trouble if the go for that.

They are breaking a contract for no reason. If you purchase a print you can do whatever you want with it, that is not their decision. Especially with no proof at all. Plus the ebay auctions are both not online anymore and probably didnยดt even sell.

On the flip side of this (no pun intended) are you not supposed to have an item in hand when selling on eBay? Obviously I understand that eBay rules and regs are not the law, but surely would be dodgy grounds to make a claim against Laz. Anyway, as stated, I'm sure nobody would go down that route over a ยฃ250 print!
Great move by Laz IMO - these were clearly priced to offer Miaz Bros fans an affordable alternative to an original, could have been priced much higher if they had wanted, so good to see them sticking by this all the way.

Morally, maybe, Laz might get a point for that - although it is still very suspicious. You cant cancel all sells that go into one specific city, that is visible on ebay. Thatยดs totally suspicious.
But they are not above the law. They have to stick with it like all of us do. This is not their decission.
ps. most lawyer costs are covered by insurances anyways

Post of the day....
you can find out anyone's info out on eBay as long as you put a offer in or bid on their item
But the flipper's just put in fake names, addresses and tele numbers too!
Congrats to those who scored! I dropped the ball on this one!

And to answer a previously posted question, no, you do not need to have items in hand to sell them on Ebay.

I just read the upper posts about this issue. I understand that flippers are hated and morally they might be right, but legally, as soon as I buy something, neither the gallery nor the artist can decide what I am going to do with it. Keep, Sell, Burn, Walk on it, whatever I like.

Guess you are right. As soon as they sent out the Order Confirmation, they closed a contract. A possible ebay resell is no reason to step back from that.
Legally, you are right. What does Lazarides say to all that?

Miaz Brothers ๐ฎ๐น Portrait Painters โข Roberto & Renato Miaz, by Dr Plip on Nov 6, 2015 15:42:28 GMT 1, I guess flippers read the forum as there are no Miaz print for sale anymore from other ebayers... Of course they do. This is flip central as far as release details, hype and information goes. The forums make it so much easier for flippers. Even if it's just for them to find out what's hot and what's not. Plus it gives them somewhere to dump unflipped stock.

I do hope that Laz gets to see this and cancels any future orders that you make with them. Flipping this print before you even received it. I think it's bloody great Laz got onto this and would love to see more galleries take the same actions.

If you look at Lazs Ts&Cs they limit their liability to the purchase value of the artwork. Not sure there is a claim to be made if they break the contract and refund what's been paid.
