This post has been amended/deleted - as I have been threatend with legal action by 'stolenartwork'.
In short, it made references about stolenartwork and another ebay seller bidding for each others work - thus pushing up the price of the work for sale. I noticed it and posted on this thread.

yep its very easy to do, but i wouldnt stop this person bidding on my item. can see no reason to stop them bidding. however strange it looks.

Would you be concerned by this, by stolenartwork on Mar 17, 2008 14:35:03 GMT 1, Hi this is Stolenartwork
We have had this brought to our attention and are very concerned that these allegations are being brought against us.
Our legal team has suggested we publish the following statement before taking any further action. These are slanderous allegations and completely unfounded.
Stolens work has 'never' been bid up as you are suggesting - it always sells well - whats the point?. We have no affiliation with the ebay account you mention and are suprised by your statement.
We are not really sure who this is other than maybe a jealous rival - check our ebay feedback it is 100% and every ebayer has been 100% happy with their purchases.
We are also not affiliated with any other artists and sell stolens work exclusively.
If there is a case for this as you mention please put it in writing to us immediately, otherwise withdraw your statement.
Please contact us via stolenartwork.co.uk for more information
Regards

Would you be concerned by this, by dogant on Mar 17, 2008 15:21:41 GMT 1, I got an PM from stolenartwork too!
I have amended my post a I do not want to go to jail (I've seen it happen in n the TV program LA LAW).......although I have sent them back a PM advising.
....IN MY OPINION.....
1. I know what they where doing to increase prices on ebay 2. They know what they where doing to increase prices on ebay 3. Ebay would also know if they looked at the accounts, sales, feedback, etc
What is it...shill/sholl/shool bidding?
Don't know.
Somebody please help...is this post bad enough for me to do time?

Your 'legal team' - if they indeed exist - don't know their arse from their elbow. If anything, it is a libel not a slander. A slander is oral defamation, not printed.

If you have evidence of this guys i suggest getting it over to the e bay fraud team asap .. They are great at investigating this . They have a program called sniffer which goes back over all transactions and looks at the ip addressing of sales and bids ..
Let the fraud guys at e bay decide ! Im sure they have a crack legal team also ;D
